Well, OK then. I haven't done that, and I have no inkling of what difference it would make. But, when the next set of Cobalt Flats go on, that's how they will go on.

Is tipping the band anything like cow tipping?Played the Fano-Bird tonight and it was kind of awesome, even with pretty dead rounds on it. Tons of compliments, so that must be ok

Sweet! Is that a 50watt Legend?
The difference is you will have the strings wrapping over themselves and they will take longer to settle.Well, OK then. I haven't done that, and I have no inkling of what difference it would make. But, when the next set of Cobalt Flats go on, that's how they will go on.
Yep. Both are mostly mythical in reality. Is tipping the band anything like cow tipping?
I yank on the pretty hard as part of installation, but I can see how it would take a bit for them to settle in when installed like that. The difference is you will have the strings wrapping over themselves and they will take longer to settle.
Ahem.I yank on the pretty hard as part of installation
30! But the thing is stupid loud..I bought it in 85 and it's just been collecting dust for about 15years. Finally started dabbling in playing guitar again. Need to clean the pots...all are scratchy..and get the foot switch back from my friend, as you can't change channels without it lol.Sweet! Is that a 50watt Legend?

Did you router to clean it up? Does it have an angle?Sorry Imposted the same pic twice. Does that make my post twice as good?![]()
I had the 50 watt amp section someone had taken out of a Legend combo. I built a head case for it, so it was an ugly, stupidly loud guitar amp. It sure could nail some ZZtop tones!30! Did you flatten the bottom of the pocket?View attachment 3659781 View attachment 3659781
Hi guys, checking in. Yes this is the "forever build" right before I drilled the neck I decided it kight be smart to scrutinize the neck pocket for break angle, level etc. good thing I did! I dont understand how Epi gets away with such horrible QC! This thing was twisted up like a roller coaster. So I am either going to have something that works good or not at all. This is a good school boy lesson giver for sure. This is my first ever neck pocket and lots, I am learning.
Sure, but I bet it's not better than THIS:Sorry my wonderful Thunderbird friends..I haven't posted for a long time..just picked up this beauty...2008...for the lowly sum of $600...by far the best bass I've ever played...better than my epi vintage pro, better than my p or my ric...it's THE BOMB..just thought I'd share...Rob
