In 64 , as a (barely) HS grad, I figgered my chances of getting drafted were pretty good(bad?), I'd enlist into the deep water NAVY. The opposition wasn't about to mess with a carrier group, so relatively safe.
Very smart move on your part, indeed. That's what I would have done too had I been in your shoes - except I can't swim! :woot:

Switched my Gibby back to the stock white pickguard and black knobs, the black pickguard and gold knobs are kinda cool, but I think it pops better on stage this way... (I also have a hard time seeing the faint white numbers on the gold knobs without my readers, especially on stage)

I like the white guard. And I also switched the gold knobs on my VP for black ones so I can read the numbers.

Hey, fellow T-Birders: is it against Talkbass
Una faccia una razza...
No idea what that means but it sure looks good, and I bet sounds good too. By the way, two of the things I plan on doing after retiring are learning Spanish and ITALIAN!
EDIT: at least I know how to say 4 words in Italian now, other than ciao.

it just means "One face, one race" and applies to all areas of the Mediterranean where regardless of nationality, everyone looks the same...

So what do we get for playing a gibbon bass? o_O

By the way, the part about being against talkbass rules wasnt supposed to be part of that message. It was meant as a question to the club about a pm I received regarding a bass brand pitch of possibly dubious origins. I decided not to bother you folks with it. Somehow it got added to this post. ????
