When I was in my high school combo (late '60s), we had our own PA as was expected of bands then. Most all venues here have some level of PA, some better than others but workable as long as you don't get too loud.

All of the venues here have some sort of PA. It's probably due to the advent of cheap full-range multi kW flown PA cabs + subs and digital mixers.

The first proper gig I ever went to, the PA was the largest ever seen in NZ at that time (think it was 4kW). There were mountains of cabinets. Now you can do that with two cabs and matching subs.

Last night my wife coined a new term, "suh puh", turning the two syllables of "supper" into discrete words.
You might have to say it a time or two to get the effect. We were quietly shaking with laughter.

totally agree, knowledge of Latin helps in speaking better English (or any other Indo-European language for that matter)...incidentally, did you know French Canadians are technically Latin Americans?..,

Sensible. Give me descriptive names any day. When I hear “A2”, all i can think of is the drive from London to Dover.

The seller is a nice guy. I was working a trade with him (his NR plus cash for my PreEB Stingray) we couldn't quite make the deal happen due to the large out of pocket on his end. But he was very pleasant to converse with and seemed like a stand up guy.

Yes, Latin spread everywhere as a result of the Roman empire. In it's age, it was the international language of commerce. Similarly, the British empire lead to the spread of English everywhere resulting in it being the modern international language of commerce.
