Glad to hear there will be a good juror. I have no idea how it works in Kentucky. In California, most counties let you postpone one time for up to six months. We also have the one day rule. You show up the day your panel is told to report. If you’re not sent out to a courtroom, you’re done for a year. If you get sent to a courtroom, you have to go through voir dire which can take a day or two. Sometimes longer. Best advice if you’re put in the box for questioning, just tell the truth. Whether you’re excused with peremptory challenge or a cause challenge depends on the type of case, you’re background, how long the case will go, how much of a hardship it is for you to serve...it’s basically a crapshoot.

I’ve never been on a jury. No one has ever wanted me. My wife has served five or six times. My Dad got stuck on a Federal jury in L.A. for a month once.

With any luck, they’ll ask about your hobbies. Tell them you spend all your free time playing Thunderbirds and chatting with your Tbird friends on here. That might convince them you’re kind of nuts and they’ll let you go.
Thanks for the insight, and the kind words. I was called for Federal once, but was never needed and my wife never called at all.

Hummm. A few comments about the conversations with my bass brothers here should get me excused straight away! If anyone here gets a subpoena, I really didn't mean to say too much.

You'll be fine. We will all take the 5th.

Attorney - Do you know @dagrev ?
TB Member (ahem) - That guy? :rollno: I mean, I refuse to answer on the grounds I feel I may incriminate myself.
A - Would you say he is of good character?
TBM - Well, outside of his well known criminality... I mean, I refuse to answer on the grounds I feel I may incriminate myself.

Well, you see how this is going...

I got out of being selected for a reason I truly believed in. It was a corporate liability case and when screened to be on the jury I stated that regardless of it being legal, I did not acknowledge "Citizens United" (corporations as people). "You are dismissed" - Eventually we will strike it down.
That was honest of you to state it up front. Many would have used that opportunity to score a point for their agenda knowing they could not be objective. Good on you!

Anyone of these will do.

I knew I could count on you if no one else.......Thanks.... Really.

Ok, that’s good. But why is it so ?
Mostly I was just checking to see if others are seeing the same thing I'm seeing or if it's more of a regional thing. Wasn't the Goth discontinued? That may be what's going on. I'm considering selling mine to be honest, especially if the prices are rising. I would much rather have a 'Bird with any of the natural or burst finishes because I think they are way better looking. I only purchased my Goth because it was a good deal at the time, thus the reason I'm kind of, sort of, watching prices.

I did see it. But now I don't see it. It's better now.

I was out on the Olympic Peninsula yesterday in the rain. Narrow, winding roads through the Olympic Mountains are an adventure in the dark and the rain. I'm a little fried today. The thing in the sky seemed like a hallucination, but since somebody else saw it, I feel a little saner.

Ohhh....Jealous! I love the OP! Band trip out there 3rd week of Feb. Yay!

I can imagine most of the other potential jurors weren't even aware of what that meant.

Also good as a backup for playing at rough houses.

I keep mine because, 1 first T’Bird & 2. Weapon in case of Zombie Apocalypse

Possibly, but I try to never to assume others lack intelligence, or insight for that matter, even people I may disagree with. An attitude which I find abhorrent and just downright juvenile. (I have problems with adults thinking and acting like children.) There are indeed some incredibly foolish people who think more with their naive, child-like emotions (a thing that personally drives me crazy), and I suppose at times my silence may hide my eye rolling and head shaking that's going on inside.

You are better hiding your emotions than I. Somehow everyone knows when I cross that fine line from disdain to contempt.
