Thunderbird Club

Great video! Tight band, nice shots of everybody, sweet bass sound, rippin strat, basic but perfect drumming, spot on vocals, all mixed very nicely. Many up and coming bands place the singer way too forward in the mix, yours was done perfectly - I could clearly hear every instrument and vocal, no one walked all over everybody else. Hats off to the band and your sound guy/mixer.

Your singer has a strong Heart vibe going - I'd love to hear you guys do Barracuda.

Thanks! I’m pretty happy with the results. I can’t take any credit except for the bass playing:
This is one tune from a 4 song EP recording project the drummer and I jumped into. It was two rehearsals, then a 1/2 day in the studio tracking the drums/bass (and an evening posing for video)

The drummer and I naturally click, so it was easy. We recently started a reggae band which is coming together nicely.

I’ll pass your comments onto the guitarist who mixed it.

Love it!
We are blessed with so many talented players in this club!
I'm sure you make the Queen proud!

Just out of curiosity, how many pieces are in your band? I'm guessing at least six or seven in this recording. Did you use your Dano on this recording? Bassline had a perfect retro vibe.

:) Thanks! We're a quartet (Kirstin: keys/vocals - Paul: guitar/vocals - Steve: drums - and me on bass/vocals) Paul also plays horns and overdubbed 3 layers for the song. I did use my (Dano) Coral Deluxe Bass with a pick through my '76 Ampeg B15N. (mic'd and d.i.'d) Carol Kaye was the original bass-player on that song so my goal is to cop her articulate pick-plunky style.

We have players playing in many different styles here, that's for sure! :bassist:

Well that was totally unequivocal.

'We do not bring Epiphone spare parts into Australia, try eBay.'

Black vinyl it is then.

WT7???

So, in the upside-down world of Australia, Epiphones never need repair?

Someone needs a competent distributor/importer/agent...

Maybe try a US or Canadian distributor. Long & McQuade are the Canadian distributor for Gibson/Epiphone in Canada and do stock/supply repair parts. Might be worth the email to see if they could/would help you out. Or use black tape.

They're actually the same pickups. The black ones turn white in the Southern Hemisphere.

They honestly do not give a flying fvck. I don't expect them to crawl up my arse, but they really seem to take pleasure in telling people 'nah'.

:) Thanks! That was the late '60s!

And I was in love with her, Joey Heatherton and Raquel Welch. And Maryann.

Well, not liking this one bit. Very disappointing. I’m becoming an Epi fanboy with the three IVs that have come home to roost here in the past year. One would think they could do a solid for a dedicated player.

You did a great job Caroling.
A lot of my favorite music comes from bands bring multiple styles to the table.
