Dang. Sorry you're having that issue. I looked around, but the only place I found with great ratings that offered a discounted Supertone told me that Hipshot was having supplier issues and was out of stock and would be for a while. When I contacted Hipshot, they were surprised because they had them in stock. I paid their price and had it in a week. Next time I just went straight to them.
Hipshot are so easy to deal with that I would rather go direct to them. Such good service deserves the additional margin they see on a direct sale.

I enjoy Southern Boogie, did they get any radio play?
Those two songs did a little around here, but I'm below the Mason Dixon Line. I think their reach was more SE US, unfortunately. They were a really great and exciting band live. Kind of music that made you feet and butt move. Tight band with interesting music. No one that I know of sounded like them.

Look what I found! USD470 with Hipshot bridge and hardshell case. At some point it will get black, lightweight tuners, and I'm going to cover the pickup with black vinyl.

[Update: just realised it has Schaller strap pins too! It was almost theft at that price]

Correct! A lot of those guys grew up together or knew each other in JAX. MH's guitarist Dave Hlubek worked at a doughnut shop with Gary Rossington. And of course there was .38 Special as well, who's bassist Larry Junstrom was the original for LS before Leon. A lot of good much from what was then a small town.

Medlocke's grandfather Shorty Medlocke was the inspiration behind Curtis Loew.

Apparently Shorty wrote several songs for Blackfoot (including Train Train), and played or sang on some as well (harmonica on Train Train)!

Yes! Their service! When I emailed to ask about buying different length bridge adjustment screws, they just sent me a set. Their pre-sales support was great, too.

Jimmy has been working with Jeff Beck on and off since the 80s. I saw Jeff last summer and Jimmy was on vocals - well, the part of Jeff's set that has singing, anyhow. He still sounds great.
Jimmy toured with Hank Jr. for a few years as well. Also been on several tribute concerts as well. He keeps busy.

I'm not sure about writing any songs. Possibly contributed. I just don't recall and no longer have those albums. He did play on Train, Train and two others. Two harmonica and one banjo, all intros. Possibly wrote on Train, Train. I just don't know, and you may be entirely correct, but it didn't ring a bell. But my bell is dusty.

Hi everybody!
I've been a long time lurker here, finally I decided to join the forum and my first post is here in the ultimate cool-bass club.

I'm sure I recognize a lot of you from the facebook thunderbird group, but I always wanted to "enlist" here in the club! Here's a picture of me and my t'bird in jet and gold rockin' at rehearsal.

Best regards and keep on rockin'!

(bass is a epiphone thunderbird ltd black, upgraded with gold hipshot ultralite USA tuners, babicz FCH three-point bridge and custom pickguard & truss rod cover made of gold reflective plexi; pickguard looks banana-yellow because is mirrored and I was playing in a yellow room)
Bellissimo basso! Auguri e benvenuto!

I'm just going by this: Shorty Medlocke - Wikipedia

Vodka martini. Shaken, not stirred.

Cool and sophisticated.
