Where were you when I was selling my NR EpiBird 5er?
No ,no , must have big, honkin' pretty chrome TBIRD! pick-ups!
They cheesed me off when they put P and J pickups on the 5 string Eppi. I'd want a trad 4 string NR anyway.
Maybe I should get this till they get that Eppi Vintage Pro on the scene...………...

No sweat. I knew b4 I got it that it had the P/J pups. I figured if I really liked it, I could get ThunderBuckers or (?) for it. I didn't like the neck profile-my LPB2/5 is much better-and it's not mahogany. Strike 3. Sold to a guy in AZ who seems happy with it.
Now, where's that Epi RI, NR, VP, TBII/IV, in (whatever) finishes?

Saturday afternoon maintenance -- inserted a few layers of card under the pickup foam on the NR41 and Orville and reset pickup heights. Will leave them to settle after re-tensioning the necks, then plug them in tomorrow for fine adjustment.

TBH, IF I was gonna sell it, it wouldn't be that much. In the first(!)HS repair, in ~77, I lost the serial #. I have it written down but there's no proof or receipt. That alone reduces its value prolly ~$8K. It has a bunch of little dings in the body from when I was playing 6 nights/week. Surprisingly, no buckle rash to speak of-I always had something covering the belt buckle. The [superfluous] bridge pup is weak-could be the pot(original). I vaguely recall having the neck pot replaced-maybe-back in the 80s. But, mostly, as it says in my signature, "Playing 'Til I Can't" and that seems to be awhile yet.

I Have a "jazz" gig Sunday that I'd like to use the 'Bird on but I already know that there won't be enuff room in the tiny space we have. I don't like playing this venue, but I'm doing a favor for a friend. It's gonna be 2 guitars, drums, girl singer, and me in an area that's small for a duo. I'll hafta use one of my short scale's

I bought my 67 in 1973 for $250 w/ HSC. When I see the bucks they go for now, I wish I'd bought the second one they had too. There's no way I could afford a 60s NR now. I'm considering getting a 2013 and retiring the 67 from active gigging. IDGAS that it's a "Teflon" TBird-in his world. If I like it, I'll play it.Just read that Martin Wishbone

We are sifting through a list of songs trying to get a new list together for 2020.
Q: how do you lot handle songs that someone may have a strong dislike to? Do you give each mbr a 1 song veto ? Or another way?
The elder gent of our gang wants ‘Oh no John’ which I think is merde; and ‘Old Folks At Home’ which I’m a bit uncomfortable with (but we haven’t tried it yet but it is on the prelim list).
I’m hoping they get shuffled out by others getting higher rating among our gang. But maybe not.
