Once again proving the adage of 2 nations separated by a common language. Although that does explain "fanny packs" worn in the front. Hmm.You do know 'fanny' means front bottom around these parts (fnarr fnarr)? Of course you do.

I'm sure you could find a volunteer to empty them. But then, with 24 years of sobriety, what would I do with the beers?![]()
And cars-or anything else that doesn't move.Looks like pollen from pine trees. Turns the sky yellow around here.
I did not know that...
I can think of some people I can mess with for sureAnd that is why you get funny looks in the UK/NZ/AUS. A Scottish lass would see the doctor about her fanny. The c-word on the other hand is used for someone she likes, doesn't like, or perhaps hasn't made her mind up about yet. It's all in the tone.
Call me shallow, but I have never liked the untrimmed string look on guitars.
The ability to still use the Dunlop Dual Design if you forget your regular strap was a real selling point to me. You know, getting old and forgetful in my old age so pretty fair odds I will forget the correct strap one of these days.![]()
Until the singer loses an eye*...
Once, back in the olden days, the drummer picked up a ball of discarded guitar strings with ends poking out all over, and dumped them on the top vent of a valve combo. Couldn't comprehend why I did my block at him.
*And why you should always wear sunglasses on stage.
Our church facilitated several families getting to the US from Burma several years back. Many families have been part of our church now and are just as much family as anyone. Some of the sweetest people you could ever meet. Some try something they think westernized that sound odd to us. May June, Monday Htu, March Green. I think it reflects days/times they were born. Some keep their traditional names. Blah Po, Wa Wa, Blak Say Wa, Say Moo and Say Gai (two sisters). But one lady is named Poo Poo.
After we helped a few they wanted to say with us instead of us helping them start a church. Don't know how many times I heard, "No, no. We came to America, we learn to be American and speak English." No easy task for mostly rural village folk with with little education as we would see it. Most now have decent jobs and even own their own houses. So nice to see them overcome such massive cultural hurdles and do well. I recall one young mother we heard had health problems and we helped get her and her three boys here. A couple years ago she was granted citizenship. It was amazing to see how happy she was to officially be an American. I'll never forget it.
By the way, they have and love some crazy hot sauce. Then they have stuff that will peel paint just by removing the lid! Their little kids love the stuff! They also enjoy Thunderbirds!
There is something special about attending a citizenship ceremony. Remarkable. If more people would do that, we would be a kinder, gentler place.

A very cool story. Even had a happy ending. Our church facilitated several families getting to the US from Burma several years back. I've been using Schaller straplocks for probably 20 years. Never had a single failure, Never had to resort to locktite. It's a fair point, but I don't need to use that on my current models. I still have several sets of Schaller in the parts drawer. I will put a set on an extra strap and bass with the Loctite to see if that works better than in the past.
The red bottle means you never, ever want to take it apart again.
Shallow is a virtue.Call me shallow, but I have never liked the untrimmed string look on guitars.

Wow. My nose would not like it a bit.Pollen. In a heavy mountain juniper /eastern cedar season, windy days make it look like central Texas is on fire.
