Thunderbird Club

No, not mine - found on the net. Those look nice though. It would be cool to do one like the reversed-bursts Fender/Kubicki did in the early '90s.

Love the Black Pearl Reverse burst on my Fender Boner bass...

...wouldn't mind having it on a TBird.

Sounds a little like interference (used to)on CB radio.

Yah, it's all about constructing music (loose description) using technical "glitches" - I think it grew out of scratching which was a manual instigated 'glitch'. The example I posted is more minimal than what I remember - there are versions that sound more 'musical' and rhythmic. (again, loose description) I have some but it's on mini-discs. (small CD's/players that were available for about 15 minutes)

Remind me to never try that game.
Also remind me to never take medical advice from that blonde twit running the game, poor contestant probably had a concussion.

I'll say! I can't even imagine what that must have felt like - it's amazing she didn't have a broken nose or cracked skull! And yes - most likely a concussion. Unfortunately it is in Darwin Award territory cause she didn't have to be involved with that "game". :rollno:

Insides=squishy;outsides=not. Guessing that the game was suspended immediately after this incident. Can you say "lawsuit"?

Seeing the recoil should've been enough.
If you're if that kind of nutcase mentality, part of the game would be to dodge the recoil.
(Yeah, I've got a streak of that, I'm afraid).

Scratch plate(or whatever)kinda messes up the effect.

The same year Jazz Plus with Kubicki 9v pre had no pg and came in the reverse-bursts as well as a few metallics. They were top of the line then - really nice sounding/playing basses.
