Thunderbird Club

Any excuse ... almost as cool as a Thunderbird.

For a small subset the contagious rating (however you say it) of R3 is huge.
Why so dumb...
I get that. I'm just saying don't base perception of a whole generation on those on the wrong end of the pointy end of the bell curve. There was plenty of stupid available when I was that age- some of it mine.

I've had several 318's over the years and never had a bad one. I'm not sure you could make one run bad. I took a carburetor off of one Chrysler that I never could get right, and put it on Dodge with a 318 and it ran just as good as before. That and the 225 were the best engines for the average non-muscle car.
I’ll PM you.

Okay, I've decided to end my silly, self-imposed exile. I guess I have been in such a funk over everything happening that I lost sight of a simple fact: isolating myself even more than I already am is just plain dumb. This is a tremendous group of people and why turn my back on that. :smug:
Oh, and THUNDERBIRD

YAYYYYY!!!!

Also, I thought it might actually take 24 hours. Good thing the betting pool hadn't got started!

WELCOME HOME!

My 1965 Mustang didn't have air conditioning but did have a good size vent box under the passenger side dash. It could hold a six pack but I just kept a pint of Youkon Jack in it.

Of course no respectable high school kid would be caught dead without some Bacardi 151 on tap, so I disconnected the windshield washer hoses from their normal route and rerouted them to under the dash on the driver's side and filled the washer tank up with Bacardi. Made plenty of trips to the local Jack in the Box drive up with my friends. Always got an odd look when I'd order a half a cup of Coke and ice.

Oh the stupid things we did as kids.
And somehow we survived! Or should we say, well preserved! Like vintage Thunderbird wood!

Man, I should be a work from home bartender.......

I'll have a THUNDERBIRD to go!

Only a week ago I was talking to one of my favorite abristas about how it was too bad she couldn't work from home.

The city of Austin actually suspended certain rules, and restaurants (and maybe bars) can temporarily serve drinks to go. I assume each drink comes with a stern warning about not drinking and driving. Trying to keep places from going under during the pandemoniemic.

No argument there. I tend to go for 'traditional', i.e. sunburst, finishes, but there's sumpin' 'bout purple.

I just wish they would do a REAL sunburst. I mean, the tobacco bursts and all are lovely, but let's have a for real sunshine burst with a big, yellow center, then red, then black or close to it!
