Thunderbird Club

Gentlemen, please watch the politics and keep on topic. I realize these are strange days but the thread needs to really stay focused.
I've been following/longing for this for awhile. Doesn't seem to have a lotta interest. 'Course about the time I decide to "take the plunge" I'll be a dollar late and a day short.(2013 Gibby NR)

While you're probably immune to my advice (BUY IT!) Mike, you only live once.

Hey T-Bird Club. This bass is not a Thunderbird, but it's going to have Lollar Thunderbird pickups when it's finished. I'm excited, so I share.

A couple of our guys have Jason's pickups in their 'Birds - Rave reviews, I'm, certain you'll like them!

Really bored today, so decided to update the family picture following the arrival of a new bass (SBMM Sterling). My Thunderbird is well in view. Pic inspired by @fasterpussycat 's earlier pic today.

At my last gig 2 weeks ago, I used 2 combos at each end of the stage, instead of the 1510 cab/DB800H head. I rented a Fender Rumble 500 to complement the DNB115.
Wow. Big wow !

I've considered trying them. Thing is, I don't really have anything specific I'm looking for out of pickups that I'm not already getting from my 'Birds. I'm pretty sure no pickup maker has a pickup described as "the same, but better".

The building my office is in is right next to the train tunnel. The wall of the basement is also the wall of the tunnel. Being down in the basement when a train rumbles past is an experience. And, if a train full of oil or coal goes boom, so does the building.

And finally a flock picture. Not Jeff quality, but very few pictures are.

The Telebird on the right is a baritone guitar, so it kinda fits in. It's a lot of fun to play. Too bad I suck at it. This picture sure makes the pixie dust '01 look weird lying on the sofa. I guess that's part of the magic - it's voodoo that makes it not show up quite right in photos as a trade-off for how well it plays. The bolt-on is to the right of the '15, and it's the one that will be a project when I finally get around to it. I have the Dimarzio One to put in once it's routed. The Flamingo convinced me I need to get the bolt-on refinished, too. It would look good some outrageous color to go along with the colors around the edges of its sound.

Think that's the first time we've seen some of those. They do like to breed, don't they?

Do it Mike. In the current circumstances, they have to be more willing to ship.

Ha. Traynor love! Don't have enough stands for the whole flock ... and then you wouldn't have seen the returned-minutes-before-the-non-essential-business-shutdown YBA200.

Traynor love indeed :).
Looking for another DBN115, just love those little combos.

Saw a YBA200 yesterday in a local shop, just before she shutdown, so no time to use it to test the new arrival. They also have a used YBA300 that causes all sorts of unchristian lust when I get near it...

*sigh*
