I can imagine standard flats would retain the feel of a taut string being tuned down. Are you noticing any slack using rounds?

Some of the newer Fender combos are crazy light. Had a 110 or 112 that weighed about half what my similar Ampeg 112 weighs. But I liked the Ampeg better and sold the Fender. Sounded better with a keyboard as well.

The R40(1x10) is 16#, R100(1x12) is 22#, R200c(1x15) is 34.5#. I have 1 of each.

Yep, the luthier said just glue and clamp and it is rock solid. I have seen some sorta hideous volute repairs over the years and some spline type that were performed like works of art.

I went totally bonkers today. Being shut in, nothing on calendar, is driving me insane. Yeah I’m catching up on stuff, but when all this ends I’ll have to pay the piper. I’ll be on the road for about eight weeks. Moved the little Rumble into the home office. Only way to maintain sanity.

Earlier this evening, I posted on my FB page the Flinstones' version of Surfin' USA, featuring the one and only Jimmy Darrock. Didn't get any likes, but I don't care, it made ME smile . The only thing that would've made it cooler is if the bassplayer played a Thunderbird ...
