Thunderbird Club

Thunderbirds sound really good through these!

Some of the newer Fender combos are crazy light. Had a 110 or 112 that weighed about half what my similar Ampeg 112 weighs. But I liked the Ampeg better and sold the Fender. Sounded better with a keyboard as well.

There seems to be an optimal point between light-weight and tone/sound delivery, and some units bring it and some ... don't.

It's complicated. It's got a '76 "Second" SS# but 77 pots. The thought is the body was finished in '76 but set aside for for some unknown issue and finished up the next year. It does have an odd nut. I've bought one but just haven't filed it yet.
Cool,
The ole "sniffer" still works lol, I remember "back in the day" finding quite a few "seconds" in the ole pawn shop for like $300/400 & by the time they get there, they weren't exactly "pristine" anymore & was always fun to try & figure out what made them "seconds" but you ALWAYS got them cheaper because of it LOL
I certainly was never one to "complain"
What a Unique Beauty :hyper:
Enjoy!!

A decade old reference.

Whoooh dude...what was this guy on? Seriously... a double rainbow is cool and all, but... all things considered... can I have some of that? (for recreational purposes only you understand...) :roflmao:

Ran across this and was thinking of you, in case you don't already have a good bed for your Jackson bird...

I'd imagine you don't see these up for sale often.

seems a bit $teep...

"Hey man, it's like, you know, vintage and reliced"

right... the only cases I get excited over are ones that fit specific overly long basses.

Here's one - O (1968) HSC

and the other one I made - (pre completion - additional latches installed after this pic)

You probably don't see those often but that's not at all like mine, I'll post a shot sometime soon - it's likely an SKB that has a formed insert, really nice.
