Thunderbird Club

That’s ok. I’m a fan, but understand you’re not. Maybe we’ll just arrange “something” with one of our “people” in Oz. (See that? I did one of those face things. I usually don’t do that.)

I'm looking extremely scared. Off to hide behind some Thunderbirds, they'll never find me there.

Oh wow, what a record!
I am astonished how worn out this disc is. Haven’t put it on a table in years. Probably one of the first albums I replaced with a cd. And I’ve always had good tables and cartridges. But this has been played. I used to label my records and this is #180. Bought in ‘73. I was 15. Seems like yesterday.

I hate Nick Cave and love Rowland S Howard. Shoot me.

I like the Nick Cave. Ever since Wings of Desire. Used to play Red Right Hand in Bond Girl with Cherie singing it/playing rhythm guitar. Always delivered that one. No need for firearms.

Me too. First time I saw him live was the Henry's Dream tour. And a bunch of times since. Once fronting Die Haut in Brazil the mid-90s. We knew each other for a short time around then. I'm sure he wouldn't remember me now.

The first few Stones albums are good. But since somewhere around the mid 70s, I found that the number of good songs declined. Most of the post 60s albums have one or two great songs and a bunch of filler.

The Beatles I generally liked, but I think I appreciate far more now. Especially the later albums; not full of songs for Top of the Pops, but good and interesting (sometimes strange) songs.
Goat’s Head Soup was the last for me.

Yes they do. Love them on my 2015 bird.

Great album! Nick Cave gets a lot of air time in my house.

I'm with Plaid on the Stones and Beatles. A couple of fun songs each but the rest just really isn't me.
Honkey Tonk Woman and Angie are about it for me and Mick; and As my Guitar Gently Weeps and Yesterday are about it for the Fab Four and me. I'm kinda in the same boat on Elton John as well, Rocket Man (please don't post the Shattner version), Love Lies Bleeding and All the Girls Love Alice are about all I can take from Sir Elton.

That's not to say these aren't great or even epic bands that clearly steered the direction of rock and roll, it's just not my cuppa tea.
I will always be indented to the Beatles for instilling a love of music in me. Stones? Meh.

My Stones collection.
