Thunderbird Club

That was pretty good. Not a huge fan, but I did learn that on acoustic back in the day. I’ll have to try it again.

I love Brill Building pop much more than is seemly for a scary gothtastic postpunk facemelter. I'm going to end up full of metaphorical bullet holes at this rate.

Love the Stones up through sometime in the mid-late 70s. Gimmie Shelter and Midnight Rambler are two all-time faves.

as a teen to 20s guy loved the Stones right up to early 70s, then for a few years/albums from Some Girls on...

The Beatles - I liked the “Rock and Roll” Beatles, other stuff not so much. The Stones for the win for me.

But as I’ve got older The Beatles have really got much more to my taste. Love them now. Devour books and doco’s about them.

I 'like' and support anyone's interest in music/artists even if they aren't my 'bag'. Musicians get little enuff encouragement and support as it is and during this non-performing time, may lose some of the venues, therefore support, we've had. That being said, anybody else like P.D.Q. Bach? I'm particularly a fan of his "1712[sic] Overture"and "Concerto for Horn and Hardart". Our concert band was going to do "Grand Serenade for an Awful Lot of Winds and Percussion"at our spring concert-since cancelled.:(:banghead::poop:
There's also a piece titled "Concerto for Piano Versus Orchestra"

That's where I got my '64 II in 1978 - Guitar Trader from the East Coast. Was it based in New Jersey?

I used to live for the Guitar Trader fliers to come in the mail. Me and my high school friends would drool over the guitars in there. Always seemed to have some great old Les Pauls and Strats that are far beyond my reach to this day. But back then a vintage guitar was still somewhat reasonable from what I remember.

Just played my Bicentennial Thunderbird this evening on some Foo Fighters tunes, to make her rock like only a T-Bird can shine!!! I had a Bicentennial before ( sold it approx. 15 years ago, stupid of me !! ) and now having the chance to own one again, I immediately found that pure and distinct Tone of such a rare Bird!!!

You are not alone. I traded my ebony 76 Bird for a cherry sunburst Les Paul Standard guitar. it was a good trade, but one I regretted almost immediately. I had to "settle" for my 77 Bird last year. It's the good kind of "settling" in my mind. Here is the best shot I can provide at the moment.

So this needs the Hipshot Supertone 3 pt? The 2 pt can be found for $80, which will correct this issue for Embassies, not sure what the 3 pt costs probably close. So probably worth it....
I don't think the Hipshot 3 point will work on the VP.

I've always loved Bach on a Harpsichord.
We're now in day nine of California Lockdown with at least a few more days to go. I think I'll give this a try tomorrow on the Anniversary Bird, should be fun to fumble through by ear...:D
