Thunderbird Club

I love my VPs with the same PUs as is--and they are already hot! You must be gong for G&L MFD peel pain hot!
I have Lollar thunderbird pickups modded into a Fender Jaguar. Jaguars have a series switch. I made sure to get that working with the TB pickups. Its pretty cool. Its an even t.h.i.c.k.e.r. sound, but also more focused. Its really great for the bridge pickup through effects.

I need an Embassy like......But I sure would like to find a steal too good to pass up. I think I JC is higher on the list. Then again, I wouldn't mind a modern Gibson Thunderbird either. Because of some of you people. Enablers, the the whole blasted lot of you!

I had and gigged a JC, strung with TI flats. I liked it, but for 2 things. It could feedback if I wasn't careful, and, without a top contour, it wasn't comfortable for a full set, for me, it bothered my forearm.

That hollow body tone is sweet though.

Yeah, feedback is an issue. In the wrong place in the wrong room I have had a feedback problem with this amp.

At a whopping 6W that is something!

But the tone!

Not
standing straight in front of this is sweet!

Tone for days. Thunder that can only compare with a Thunderbird.

West Coast Thunderbird Thursday.

This came up a week or so back...….
The correct case for a Jackson TBX looks like this.

As much as think Thunderbirds should have a PG, this one has never had the factory made one installed (Thankfully!) as I think the bass looks much better without it. I really like this bass, it's not the traditional Thunderbird when it comes to tone (or the pointy headstock) but there are stages and shows that this bass is the perfect choice - Razor.
