As does mine. I have never had a problem with it damaging a bass or guitar. I prefer the cheapo On-Stage type stands with a cradle. The cradle swivels to whatever shape the bottom of the instrument is.

I have 2 of those and one with the locking legs. Gotta make sure they're locked.

yeah, their footprint (Hercules) is way too large for smaller stages, causing people to trip over them and worse....the little 15 dollar ones work best for me..

They deliver the response and tone of my dreams.
I don't have to exaggerate my finger technique, to get meaningful low end and growl from them. Every note punches with saturated fullness. Yet....articulation is also zero issue. And when you do push the finger technique, they punch and crunch like nothing I have ever experienced. Nordstrand Big Blades are the only other pickups I have tried, which give a similar force and fullness, when live through an amp.

I put them in a naturally very warm and good sounding Jaguar bass. And it's like a wonderful marriage of Jazz bass and NR Bird tones. It's too bad I don't like the round radius of the fretboard. Or the fact that the neck moves a lot through temp variances.

I bought these Lollars in 2013, I think. They are not cheap. After rings and spacers, you are in used price for a Vintage Pro (which didn't exist back then).

Worth every penny.

Not ready to do it now, but after we talked about it last week or so, I’m pretty sure I’m going to go the used/blem VP route and have a pro refinish it Pelham Blue or Inverness Green. Unless the NRs get released in those colors this year.

I know the conventional wisdom here was don't do it, but I switched the pickguards. I like them this way and will leave them.

Yeah. This blue fetish is getting a bit crazy. First it was the PB Epi Limited Edition bolt-on. Then the The PB NR. I even find myself playing my MIM LPB P bass more. Inverness Green would be a bit different.

With a factory-installed Heyboer OT?!?!?! When I was building and repairing amps, those were my go-to. I had no idea he made some for Ampeg. I do not need that, but if I lived nearby, I know where my bonus check would want to go soooo bad.

I was never interested in that style until I needed a double. It works great. I love the 414 for a single.

Now for something more serious, Embassy1 (Slinky rounds, CTS pots) and Embassy2 (DR nickel Lowriders, stock pots) have good tone variations from closed to wide open. Embassy3 (Chromes, stock pots) has little discernible change.

Could it be the difference between how rounds and flats react to tone control, or possibly an out of tolerance capacitor?

Looking for ideas here.

Cobalt flats work just fine with tone controls on my basses. Probably the cap, though it could be a bad pot. Are you sure there's variation at all? If not, the cap could be broken or disconnected.

There's some minimal variation in tone, not near as much as the other 2 Embassy's. That sure is a bitty capacitor. Not sure what the value is, couldn't read it.
