Ditto. That looks so good. I'm glad it didn't know it was for sale! I love the CA Red!
Roger that. I’m starting to think 3 is better than 2. Crazy talk!Yes it most certainly is--and we'll have no more that around here!
If I were gigging a lot, more basses would be likelier. But mainly at church for now, though the possibility of some gigs after the Time of Covid are looking up.It's just the basses I actually take off the wall and play. The other's just turned into wall art.
So the two I'm still looking to unload would be the Studio V and the Short Scale. No hurry... if the right buyer presents himself, they'll get sold. If not... I keep 'em.
Was 1000 + free shipping. Now 850 + 100 shipping. Still down, just not as much. Still tempting. But I’ve been wanting a White Bird for so long!!!GUYS!!!!! That 2015 Bird is reduced to $850 plus shipping!!!! Someone buy that thing!!!!

Well, they do print directions about doing that, on the inside of the cardboard pack for the strings. HOWEVER, they changed their roundcore strings a few years ago, so that they turn into a triangle shape, after the nut. Effectively mitigating the old unwinding issues.I use DR strings on a lot of my basses. The one thing DR strings demand that many others don't is that you must put a 90 degree kink in the string before you cut it to length. If you don't do that, and just clip the string without a kink, the outer windings will sometimes loosen and the result will be a dead string. I've had that issue with Black Beauties before.
Dang, he's ruining the value of my 2015 bird!GUYS!!!!! That 2015 Bird is reduced to $850 plus shipping!!!! Someone buy that thing!!!!

Somebody hurry up and buy the darn thing before he lowers the price even more. This is beyond a steal!
Would make a nice Father's Day present, or slap a biohazard sticker on it and call it your COVID bass.![]()

SOLD! Anyone here?
If everything goes as planned, “Dorothy” will be off to her new owner later this afternoon.
This will put me at 5 TBirds... probably 2 away from having my “right” number of 3 basses; 2013 Gibsons R and NR and the Classic Pro.
I was hoping that “Dorothy” would eventually go to @Nocturnal but the timing/price didn’t work out.
Anyway, I took some pics for the new owner of the packing process and I thought to share them.

The price to ship with the bass torn down was almost half the price of intact and that appealed to the purchaser. A bit of work to wrap it all up and cut down a box but in the end, the almost 2 hours it took paid off.
Never saw them, sadly. If they ever played near me, I didn’t know it.Saw them in KC/MO at the Cowtown Ballroom (cool place actually - saw many bands there) a year or two later. They all had clear Plexiglas instruments (guitar/bass and violin) The SF sound for sure.
