Got the needle to move! :) now which line do I read? Thanks guys.

Is that good? I bet I can get it higher.

It suggests the pickup is working.
The value depends on the pickup. The TB +s I took out of my 08 Gibson Bird were around 9.7 K each. the China Buckers are a bit lower. Some pickups are higher- 13K is not out of the ballpark.
From your pics it looks like you are testing a few different pickups because the leads ends look different. Is that so?

I prefer breasts with skin on them, but whatever.

Lollar pickups are in the 8.5K to 9.5K range. As I recall, the HongKongBuckers I got for the chrome project are about that range, maybe a little lower. I believe the '70s pickups are in the 6-8K range, and new ones are in the 9-11K range. I'm not sure what the earliest ones test out at. Perhaps a little lower than the 70s versons, but I'm not sure. They are all over the map, and you will find variations between individual pickups of the same type/year. So, 13K could be accurate if it's an absolutely blistering pickup. 700 is probably not accurate.

A general question about Talkbass. I had a scout around to try and find an answer but without success.
No big deal, but just wondering.
Up until a few weeks ago I used get a little personal summary panel on the right hand side as you look at the first TB screen when I accessed TB. In the panel was a numeric tally of my number of posts, number of likes, points and some other stuff.
It was where I am now getting a "Forum Statistics" panel above the "New Reviews" panel.
It disappeared a few weeks ago.
Was it withdrawn? Or has it gone through something I may have done inadvertantly?

I thought I would ask here rather than in the general population, because I know I will get an answer here without starting WWIII, being called stupid or some other unpleasant outcome

It shouldn't. The only thing I'd be curious about is whether you blasted those with aluminum oxide or not before coating. If they're coated over chrome, it'll chip easily (but your coater likely knew that and prepped them properly.) ;)

I carefully blasted them with garnet sand. I use that over aluminum oxide. Cheaper. I am a certified Cerakote applicator so I coated them myself. I hear what you are saying over chrome if it is not prepped properly.
