Thunderbird Club

I'll eat my words about any number of birds being enough... Had the chance to trade my rd Artist (I never really liked it... I REALLY tried!) for a 2013 nr with pickups from thunderbucker ranch and a few bucks...

Thunderbuckers Rock!

I have my Epi Classic Pro Thunderbird IV on the bench. The uniform stain over a obviously nicely figured rosewood board. I lightly rubbed it down with wax wash the a little lacquer thinner. I'm happy with the results.

How do Thunderbucker pickups sound different to the stock ones? Also how high output are they?
Modern stock Thunderbird pickups just sound sterile to me. Vintage and a good reproduction pickups like Thunderbuckers have shimmering mids, treble zing and a inherent overdrive all without losing a fundamental low end.
