I've just been putting on a dress shirt for my video meetings. But have to make sure nothing goofy or distracting is on my credenza or behind me in my home office. I do need to put a Thunderbird on a stand in the background. Just so everyone will be distracted--and think I'm cool. I used to be cool. But I don't seem to have it any longer. I don't know where I left it, or when it left me. The Thunderbird's gotta help.
I took mine right off. I'm not a SS guy anymore and they sounded like a cheap version of Rotos to my aging ear. Might try them again for a rehearsal. I recall some liking them, but couldn't find exactly what they were. GHS Progressives go sound great on VPs.
Now you need a burst VP!
You’re plenty cool enough for us!I've just been putting on a dress shirt for my video meetings. But have to make sure nothing goofy or distracting is on my credenza or behind me in my home office. I’m using the virtual background setting in zoom.
That photo above would be perfect for that.

What a beautiful family.I put some bird seed out on the deck and......

Finally did a family photo.
Yes, I've got to stain the deck. Bad.
How is that amp by the way?Yes. When I’m in my study to practice, I use it with the Vox Superbeetle amp. For band rehearsal and gigs, I’m wireless (Shure GLXD16) into my Fender Rumble 200 ("vintage")
That’s “Butkus” hanging out w/ me...our blue-eyed rotty/lab/husky mix

I figure work people don’t need to be looking around my study. I have it so there is minimal in view. But still.I had been but took it off for some reason. My boss saw the drill press in my office (where I work on amps, guitars, etc) and got all excited.
Beautiful!
Pretty good, for what it is...a small practice amp. Looks great but might just be a collectible item for Beatles fans? A Rumble 25 sounds a lot better thoughHow is that amp by the way?
Thanks. Hard to bead the Rumble 25. Best amp you can buy new for a Benjamin. The Vox would be cool for my office when this work at home stuff ends. But man, it’s expensive for what it is.Pretty good, for what it is...a small practice amp. Looks great but might just be a collectible item for Beatles fans? A Rumble 25 sounds a lot better though
Maybe, but it's going fast!I gotta think if you have a Thunderbird, there's some cool left....
You are very kind. It's all a matter of who one wants/cares to impress, or maintain some semblance of standing with. You guys are plenty good enough for me. After all, you all have Thunderbirds! Must be that birds of a feather thing. Just might be the largest collection of cool on the planet right here. You’re plenty cool enough for us!
Thank you. I love my '64, but I feel a little childish in how fond of the VPs I've become. I could be a fan boy. I have some cool basses, and I'm not so sure that if I could only have one bass and it couldn't be the '64, it would be a VP.What a beautiful family.
Anyone who has amassed that much Pelham Blue definitely has some cool left in the icebox!I thought my “cool” ended in ‘83, when I sold my Kasino 200 and Mustang for cash for law school. But maybe you’re right. Just a different “cool” these days.

I'll take a # if there's room for one more!
I recently picked up a Blackbird by chance from my housemate, had fun with it, tuned it to B and realised it was going to be very useful! Straight out great tone and playability in a downtuning.
First thing I recorded for it ended up being a joke song we did for a Facebook group.
If you don't like dumb industrial metal, don't watch!
