Closer look at saddles on my VP: D saddle looks taller than E. So I think I'm gonna swap the A to the E and the E to the D and the D to the A. G stays put.

People love my VP and my JC. Made in the China/Indonesia/Korea/wherever? Nobody cares! Where was the device you are reading this on made?
The planet has plenty. The internet just makes it more obvious.Indeed, the internet is full of brand snobs/hipsters.
Disclaimer: I don't record so no samples available. Some days ago I think I saw that someone around here asked me how I do make my bass sound like a guitar for the solo parts (I don't seem to find the exact comment).
I mainly use a Boss GT-6B with the ''demon child'' patch modded under my own parameters plus a TC Electronic Sub n' Up mini, that's pretty much it. I may get a guitar wah and a guitar distortion/overdrive plus a reverb and a delay in analog format to add to my analog pedalboard. Never thought I would do this, but you gotta do what you gotta do when you can't find a decent guitar player to play with around...
I don’t guess anyone makes a more adjustable version of the Tune-o-matic for the VP? Maybe even a roller version? I can’t find one.
EDIT: looking at the Hipshot D style now. Duh. Posting before coffee.
Bigs frets, small frets, medium, I love them allI'm not usually a fan of jumbo frets. The VP frets are about perfect, at least for me.
If only Epiphone parts were easy to get...Well, who knows when I'm gonna get strings. I ordered from two places and both have said 7-8 days.
So I guess its that many more days to confirm if the stock E string is really this bad or if I do need a taller saddle for the E.
and I can't find a bridge with the same saddles anywhere to buy. Except for a supposedly american made one which looks basically the same and cost $150....
Is this shot before or after you swapped them? And if you did swap them, how did you remove them?

This is the way mine are and all as far as I know, including the '76 to accounting for the radius. That should work, but obviously doesn't for you for some reason. Dumb question: Have you tried adjusting the screw just a tad to see how it feels? A little does a lot sometimes. Just hate to you to have to buy something when there may be another way.
Well, I'm thinking that this stock E string is just particulary floppy. It does not have a positive feel to me. And I have trouble with it, even when just testing the strings to make sure they are in tune. This is the way mine are and all as far as I know, including the '76 to accounting for the radius. I would crank up the bridge on the bass side a bit. This is before
That was I. Thanks. I'll check out the stuff you mentioned. Some days ago I think I saw that someone around here asked me how I do make my bass sound like a guitar for the solo parts (I don't seem to find the exact comment).
