Thunderbird Club

But that looks like it might work if you moved the claw back about an inch or just took it off. Of course that would leave exposed screw holes which isn't really desirable. Is there proper room for intonation if one were to use the two point on a VP?

Edit - just noticed, the string spacing on the G and E strings of the Hipshot looks to be quite a bit less than the spacing on the slots of the VP claw. Interesting.
It doesn’t actually give you any more travel on the saddles. It is meant for an EBO, which has tighter string spacing

My lead guitar player plays a Firebird...sexy guitar!

what finish are you looking for?
It was a burst. I'm currently working on a Gibson from the classifieds if we can come to terms. His shipping numbers seem really high. Like $120 and more from AZ to KY. Did you have another Classic Pro to get rid of?

The vintage Coronados are nice but I liked the sound (and the price) of the Modern Player Coronado better. I almost bought one until I played it against the Starcaster modern player. The Coronado did sound more woody and hollow body than the Starcaster, but the Starcaster had a lot more balls in the deep end was a better match to my Telecaster Modern Player in sound. If I were going to use Tapewound strings and shoot for more of an upright sound I'd definitely buy the Coronado modern player.
Yeah I meant the Modern Player Coronado. Those pickups seem pretty great. Likewise, the cabronita P seems to sound great, too.

However, I have never actually played them. Only watched youtube videos. The Starcaster sounds very bland to me in videos. But its likely different live, with an amp!

I keep seeing contrarian comments on shipping pricing. But in my experience, its like $115 minimum, to ship a whole bass nowadays.

Charges have become horrendously crazy. Add packing material and insurance and that price is probably ballpark. That’s about what it cost to get my NR from Texas to SoCal.

That’s unfortunately the standard now, glad I’m done selling basses, the last couple were costly.

That's weird. I don't recall where I shipped to (I think it was midwest near Canada) but when I sold the Pro V a few monts ago, shipping was just a little over $50 (I had the box and packing material).

I sold a Dano 63 shortscale last year and had to take the neck off to get it around $50 (with my own box and packing). I don't usually like to do that, but the seller requested it. So I did it. That bass requires neck removal for the truss rod adjustment anyway. But I had never needed to, with that one.

If it has a case then the shipping price is probably fairly accurate. I shipped a bass in a gig bag to TX about 6 weeks back and it cost me $90.
