I think you're pulling my (nicely stockinged) leg, they don't even grow watermelon in Canada.
Simply untrue!

I grew watermelons when I was a kid!

* Canadian football being similar to American football, however, the field is measured in metres and several teams are named the Rough Riders

I’ve had some pretty good watermelon from Alberta. Wait, didn’t you grow up in England? Or some other exotic place?

Chucky beat me to it.

Born in England and was brought to Canada when I was young. I come from a family of tax refugees; back then (as the Beatles complained) the taxman had a top marginal rate of 95% whereas Canada had a top marginal rate of about 25%.

We all have too much free time with the whole world being under house arrest (except the Swedes).

I haven't missed a day of work yet, the BF and I went out for dinner Saturday evening for the first time in quite a while, I must say it was nice to have a couple drinks and let someone else do the cooking and dishes.

Wow, you can dine in now?

Yes, there was about 8 feet between us and the next table - it was so good to get out ( and get a little drunk). It's been a long time though, Washington shut down really early on and reopening is slow in the Seattle area (slower than the rest of the state), I finally rode the Light Rail to work today for the first time in months, felt good to not drive!

That's great. I know a lot of places, here at least, aren't sure they'll be able to survive with the necessary distancing.
