About 15 years ago was when the PSA test went out of favour as a diagnostic. So he was right in the middle of the pack. There is still value in the PSA; it is a useful screen for further evaluation, not as diagnostic of cancer.

For most, there was further good news about 5 years ago. The DRE* is no longer considered necessary for routine screening in healthy men.

I always exhibited high blood pressure during routine physical exams. That's why. I don't care if the doc is a small woman with small digits, there's just places fingers shouldn't go. When that exam stopped being part of the deal, I was relieved, and she may have been as well.

I've yet to hear anyone truly capture the tone of a standalone pickup cover. This sort in particular always sounds shiny, even though in real life there may be hints of brown, black, or green, depending on which tarnish option the original purchaser chose.

Hints of brown, black, or green? Nah, not the sound I like. Black is good, but you have to have more turquoise with an electric blue edge. The brown? It's OK. Green? IF it's cream of creekscum, then it's a J cover.

Ha! That's my complaint with the fenders of late. My hands don't always get sweaty, but when they do..... I've thought about just scuffing some pic up for a little texture, but never think about it when I can fool with it.

I have used a hole punch on the Tortex picks. You could drill a hole in the Fenders.

I have a collection of picks I’m trying. From memory .73, .88, 1.00, 1.14 & 1.5.

using a leather pick on the Uke, and in my guitar excursion I’m trying the .4 - .6 sorts. Figuring learning guitar from scratch using pick exclusively will help me transfer pick ‘skills’ back to the bass. We will see.

at least now they aren’t flying across the room as often, or disappearing into the sound hole.

about to get the big boy pants on and head into the office for a couple of hours. Been a long time in tshirts, shorts or trakky dacks!

Carol Kaye always plays with a pick. There are a coupla vids on YT where she discusses technique for doing so. I started playing some songs with a pick many mango seasons ago. My "technique" is not what she recommends. [insert something about old dogs/new tricks]

I’ve tried her way. Doesn’t work for me.
