Most of my basses do as well. Everyone's experience and preferences are different, but TIs, Fenders and Cobalts thus far all sound good. I have not tried the TIs on a VP, just the '76. Nothing "one trick pony" about Thunderbirds at all. Almost forgot, Roto flats sound great on a VP as well.

Don't feel bad we all have those days. Hopefully we are a little slower to post on those days! I was on an administrative meeting via zoom Friday for a couple hours and I thought I saw something in a by-laws document that was out of place, and all I did was state the obvious. Which would have been obvious to me and I stopped and thought for a moment. One of those times where I wish I had had some coffee at lunchtime.

Lol, this sounds pretty arcane, but I'm having some trouble identifying what it is. Bottom line is it's a musical sound, simpatico with the mix. It doesn't step on, or lay over the mix, it creates itself a comfy space and gets along with other sounds.
I'm sure this makes very little sense... it also has a slight 'woof' to it, again unlike my old standby TE, though that may be the Epi THUNDARBIRD and the EVs in the big Acoustic box.
Anyway I'm psyched to be working with this group, and we seem to be on a good page, all of us. I'll get some clips up if I get the ok for that, and maybe someone'll have a clearer impression than I tried to express here.
Nice amp, Eden. I kinda see where Rob DeLeo (STP) got some of his sound from...

I really like the description and your take! Made perfect sense to me. Maybe that says something about both of us!

Really hate to hear that. Maybe things will turn around, and they will at some point, and you can get back at it. Now we'll just have to plan on living that long!

I love my T350...I loved my TE250 combo.....think you may be casually alluding to the differences between 80's and 90's amp EQ voicings...

Overall, I like the Holeyboard. I just wish there were a few more holes in places. I think the newer ones (aircraft-grade aluminum rather than laminated wood) solve that problem.

It's a bit of a tight fit for the power supply under the top level.

Ugh. Sorry, sir- for you, him, and the rest of the band. What's the deal with outdoor venues? The humidity? Time for a new guitarist?

What is this tuning fetish people have? Tuning before playing with others? Tuning between songs? I tune every time I change strings.*



* you may want to take this with a grain of salt or two.
