Thanks. We're not. At the same time, we're not attempting anything intricate. Most of our 55+y/o audience wants to hear [stuff] they recognize and can and did dance to, so it's pretty much all 3 or 4 chord songs with maybe a semi-weird bridge.
I did the Monday open mic/jam night again tonight(OK, now last night). 67 NR THUNDERBIRD>Rumble 100 daisy chained to a second R100[aimed at the drummer], both audible to audience. The 'Bird sounded really good tonight, even with me playing it
. (No, no one else plays it). BTW, I kicked in the bridge pup for one song just fer gits and shiggles. Actually didn't sound bad. Still better with just the neck pup though.The place is small outdoor tiki bar/taco joint so big amps are unneeded. The mosquitoes were well fed.

Just from looking, it seems your intonation might not be right....
i buy online from stores because I have to, or it’s too good a deal to pass up, that no one can come close to, on something I need or seriously want. If I can, I buy from a local store, even if I have to pay a bit more or wait a bit extra.
Indeed, those shops are way too few...
Last summer, during a nowhere roadtrip, I had the good fortune of ending up in such a shop, in a small town about an hour west of Montreal. Spent about an hour there, actually hoping to find a Thunderbird and gawking at whatever basses they had. Even jammed with a local harmonica player after picking up an acoustic guitar and that 10 or 15 minutes of bare-bones music was a good moment in an otherwise challenging period for me.

Saturday was always something really special. Might've had a date that evening. If not working, looked forward to going to the music store, possibly with a fellow musician, most likely hanging out with some people talking music. Shoot, back then you can go to a different music store every Saturday and not visit the same one for a couple months. Like you, I feel sorry for kids today--in a lot of ways. No such wonderful option. Going and sitting at Guitar Center is not the same and doesn't count.
Part of why I've gone to buying online is that there aren't any brick and mortar shops closer than 45 miles to me that have anything. They'll order [stuff] and take it back if I don't like it but I gotta pay up front and if they perceive a 'problem', no refund. Another determining factor is the 6.5% state sales tax that at least partially pays our governor's salary.
Sounds like we take the same approach. Buy local if at all possible and rational.
I live in the far corner of the county that has no music stores whatsoever. Closest music stores at least a half hour away and that is just driving through the city. There used to be a nice music store about 10 minutes from where I live. It was owned by the Sullivans who make really fantastic banjos. The guy started in his basement and made replicas of vintage Gibson's and got so good at it the mini top notch banjo players wanted them. Ended up opening up a full-fledged music store in my part of the town. Really nice down to earth guys and had a lot of good stuff in the shop. Still made replacement next whenever Gibson needed one. Back in the back they had a wall of probably 40 to 50 different styles of banjo necks and fretboard styles. It was nice to go hang out there some. But when the housing bubble popped in the early 2000s and everything spiraled down the shop couldn't weather the storm. Bill, the owner and founder had died and I'm not sure of the sons were up to snuff. A lot of Bluegrass and country pickers would be in there occasionally as they were passing through were playing in town.

If you play enough classic rock, it’s not that difficult to figure it out, because we all know how it goes. Like if someone called Jet Airliner but Steve Miller...
Yeah, we prolly have about 200+ songs we can do ranging from dinner music(bossa novas, "Great American Songbook", light jazz)to "Classic Rock", whatever that exactly is. Our biggest problem is lyrics. We can play almost anything, but without the words, a lot of the tunes themselves are pretty boring. I'd been planning on getting a tablet(?)or something with lyrics available(can't see a Smartphone-too small for these eyes*, hard to hold and play)but with the current live music climate-or lack thereof-I can't justify the expense.

The cost of a decent used tablet is fairly low especially if you stay away from Apple products but then you'll need a tablet mount for your mic stand... more cost.
Here you go. You already wear a hat when you play, and you won't look silly wearing this. I swear. Seriously.
Oh sure, you complain about amps being too heavy, but you are going to get a tablet to see lyrics on?
