And I am embarrassed to say that I spent a couple of minutes trying to figure out what could the black pedal with no knobs be. Then I read the label at the top. Korg? What pedals does Korg make? Oh, pitch-black tuner.
I need coffee. Some mornings, before caffeine starts working, my brain operates like a novice driving a stick - maybe it stalls, maybe it jack-rabbits.
So I've been playing through an Eden WT405, into an old Acoustic 106 cab loaded with EV-L 15s. I was thinking on it this morning and thought I'd write down a few impressions...
I'm playing with some people I've been trying to get together with for quite a while now (masking and attentiveness), and it seems to be a good thing so far. We recorded a couple jams and arrangements, and the amp is interesting.
Unlike the Trace stuff I'm used to, which tends to have lots of heft, be very clean, and lays down very "plain" in a dynamic sense, the Eden seems to "blend at the edges" with its musical environment... meaning it doesn't stand out with the same simple authority as the Trace... and yet it blooms at the center. Lol, this sounds pretty arcane, but I'm having some trouble identifying what it is. Bottom line is it's a musical sound, simpatico with the mix. It doesn't step on, or lay over the mix, it creates itself a comfy space and gets along with other sounds.
I'm sure this makes very little sense... it also has a slight 'woof' to it, again unlike my old standby TE, though that may be the Epi THUNDARBIRD and the EVs in the big Acoustic box.
Anyway I'm psyched to be working with this group, and we seem to be on a good page, all of us. I'll get some clips up if I get the ok for that, and maybe someone'll have a clearer impression than I tried to express here.

. I used that MXR distortion pedal with an Epi Classic Pro IV and it sounded so good ! My setting were rather light, on that threshold between heavy OD and light distortion, but it fitted so well what the band was doing at the time.

That seems to be the recent asking price, more or less. I don't know what they actually go for.

I'm beyond envious that you're managing to safely get together and make music.................I really miss it and have no idea when we'll even try a rehearsal, much less play a show. At this point Halloween looks like a doubtful date here in Washington.
Dunno if I'd mentioned it here, but one of our guitarists(the better one, natch)has respiratory issues-not covid related-and has pretty much said he won't play any of our indoor venues. That eliminates all but one. This basically translates to "we're done." SUCKS!

$1500 is a pretty typical asking price, some a bit higher some a bit lower. A purchase at $1200 or less is considered a good deal. Anything approaching $1000 or less is a steal.
