One will probably show up on that Austin CL. Be patient and ready to pounce when it does. Now I want a Thunderfenderbird, a dual neck bird with one of each type neck, and each brand of bridge. That wouldn’t be heavy at all.

What do you guys think about this color? But with a bit of metallic in it, and not quite opaque, to show just a bit of wood?

Maybe it should be left 'pupless' to "show the world".Interesting that they expose the wood on the pu cavity - maybe to prove it is mahogany and see all the laminations?
Burgundy Mist Metallic!

Or not.

Asking price. What it sells for may be quite different...
Looks to be his main stage bass!
BMM is a Cadillac color so far as I am concerned. I do not believe there was ever a Ford equivalent of the GM color. If there was, it would have been perfect on an original two seat Thunderbird.Remember, BMM is a Fender colour - the similar Gibson/Epi colour is Heather Poly Mist, or Heather Mist. (confusing because it was nitro, not poly)

I think refinishing a bass with nail polish will take a lot of time and cost a small fortune in tiny bottles of polish. What do you guys think about this color? But with a bit of metallic in it, and not quite opaque, to show just a bit of wood?

Challenger #2 "Bless the Barn" Jay Mascis (of Dinosaur Jr fame) is 'too loud' playing his electric guitar unplugged...

Inspected by....?It is interesting..a few numbers are in there as well. Not sure what they mean.
I'm with you. Don't mess with something that works--no, is part of the recipe for fantastic. A veneer top of something else I could seriously consider. Curly maple Thunderbird topped with binding! Oh yeah!I thought about buying a kit for a NR TBird that I saw listed. Wasn't mahogany. Nope. Dunno if that helps you, but for me it's mahogany or nuthin'.
I used it a fair bit.......Some stuff from FB. I kept the Drinky Crow PG as it was something I made for it, the original PG got re-installed.
It amuses me immensely that the backline for "Battle of the Gentle Bands" includes what looks like a 1970s Peavey head and cab. Those things are anything but gentle! (Of course, no one actually plugs into it AFAICT...)
