Thunderbird Club

Of all the KK donuts I have tried, I find the plain glazed donuts to be the best when they are fresh and slightly warm. I have tried other varieties there but a fresh glazed is still the best to me. Its kind of funny because that is usually not in the top ten of what I would choose elsewhere.
There's sumpin' almost magical 'bout them.

Spector makes beautiful basses IMO but some of the prices are very steep. Recently someone was selling a used NS*2X for $5500 and I thought that seemed high, but then I remembered what it had cost new.
Spector makes fantastic basses, I have a few and really appreciate the extra quality and craftsmanship in the Woodstock model I have. I've been looking for a used USA 2X for quite a while now because the new ones are so expensive, but Spector keeps upping the bar on the new stuff which seems to bump the cost up on the used stuff as well. I can remember not that long ago I could have bought a new NS 2X four string for around $4000 and used for under $2000. Seems like those days may be gone now.

There’s still one in Burbank (at the former Lockheed Skunk Works complex they turned into a shopping center) that I stop at on the way into downtown L.A. Been since January...

There's one off of the highway between Pacifica and the Mission where I now live. (about 10 minutes from either) I can't recall ever stopping there. I've avoided doughnuts and like things for a while now. Gained a lot of weight after (L) hip replacement surgery in January coupled with 'sheltering in place'. (sitting and eating cause I was bored) Had the right hip replaced on June 3rd right after moving to the bigger place in SF so I had room for a stationary bike set-up to hit as soon as I could. Lost 20lbs over a couple months through spinning and diet. Feeling more like my old self again doing 3, 2hr+ road-rides a week on top of 1hr a day spinning on the other 4 days. As much as I liked doughnuts, they always gave me indigestion from being fried anyway so I don't miss them.
