Thunderbird Club

OK, now I can maybe just look for the PUs!
Sounds like a good plan, except the pups are even harder to find than the entire bass.

Anyone know if the pup position on the single pup bird is the same as the neck pup on the bird iv?
More or less.

12th fret to centerline of neck pup on my dual pup birds:
Gibson 2015 TBird ............. 10 1/4"
Gibson Anniversary TBird .... 10 1/8"
Epiphone Goth TBird ............10 3/4"
Epiphone VP TBird .............. 11"
Spector Rex 5 Pro ................12 1/2" (note, this is a 35" scale bass)

12th fret to centerline of pup on my single pup birds:
Greco TBird ......................... 10 7/8" (note this is a 33" scale bass)
BaCH Non Reverse TBird ....... 10 3/4"

From the CNN site. There's a Gibson logo on the headstock. Is this just a Strat that someone put a Gibson logo on?

Isn’t it an Explorer ?
Yeah, that was my first reaction - not a Strat, and not a Gibson, That is his modified Kramer explorer...

But EVH was big on modifying his guitars. I fully expect that it was done by EVH as a joke.
