Thunderbird Club

Oh, no! We shorted you an inch! Please accept the humble apologies! A really big hat might help fill up the extra six inches, too. :D
I don't play country, just that good ol' dirt head heavy rock and metal. I get bored with country really, really quickly. What was cute songwriting 30 years ago is cliche'd and boring now.

Hung the axes up tonight - birds just seemed to want to be next to each other.

Nice...

Used to have a late 70's P-Bass just like the one on the far left - Great bass, which unfortunately went away with my 70's Jetglo Ric 4001...

Should never have sold those off...

You can still have a tall hat. Country is all the same song by now. There's only one. And, there's only about 30 or 40 words you get to use. My favorite send up of country was by the late Steve Goodwin who wrote the perfect country song, except it missed a few things, so he wrote a final verse:

I was drunk
The day Mama
Got out of prison,
And I went to pick her up in the rain.
But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck,
She got runed over by a darned ol' train....

And there you have the end of all country songs. There's never been a finer country song written, and there never will be. They can stop now.

Thanks!! It sure is a beauty. As for a number, I don't need one :ninja: I've yet to "officially" join any clubs, though I've regularly posted in many. Thank you, though!

Just curious, did you custom order your Lull? Again, it's stunning, congratulations on a beautiful bass.

New Porsche in your avatar, yours? Maybe I just hadn't noticed until now.
Yep, just got it last week after spending years trying to find the perfect one at the perfect price. It's a very rare 1997 911 in Zenith Blue (kind of a violet/purple blue depending on the light). Ultra low miles, mint condition and all original. Of course my garage now looks like a skittles factory with this vibrant blue 911, my speed yellow Cayman and my wife's Lima bean green Fiat 500 sport.:):D

Yeah, but I'll still take your Subee over my Cayenne in the snow any day!

The Subee's do get you there, maybe not fast - but, as they say sometimes it's fun to drive a slow car fast :roflmao:

I like really old country, but any "modern country" isn't my thing.

What's fair pricing on an 90s Orville Thunderbird IV? Decent condition, thinking maybe I can work an equal trade on it just wondering what their value is.

Not sure what they go for where you are, but in Australia I would think about the same as a Greco TBird- a while back between $900 and a Grand in good condition. They don't come up often here and the market seems to have tanked at the moment. A friend brought a nice Orville by Gibson in from Japan about a year ago and it cost him around a grand shipped. Since then I have seen a couple of white 90s Greco TBird IVs sit unsold at about a grand or a little less for some time. Hope that helps.
