The good news is, that pedal came with a box! The bad news is, I don't see a case for the glasses, who in the hell would sell someone glasses without a case, that just sucks, no way I'd stand for it! You need to start a poll out in the GP to see what other people think about new glasses without a case!

OK, we all know this is not a beloved maple leaf. But I think it's a biggest Sycamore leaf I ever saw, or any leaf for that matter. (Next to a size 10 shoe.)

I was just about to correct you on the "maple" leaf, but you fessed up about it being a sycamore. It is a huge one though. It does bring back memories of being in KY and watching the Silver Maples flip their leaves, indicating rain is imminent.

I am extraordinarily data driven. It makes me skeptical of many treatments, both old and new. There was a big lesson to be learned from the CAST study ( Cardiac Arrhythmia Suppression Trial - Wikipedia ) in that we should take nothing for granted. Everything must be proven. And all cause mortality is the most important outcome.

From a scientific standpoint, the complete spoiling of legitimate morbidity data in this pandemic is a travesty. Makes me glad I focus on more concrete things where the science is settled, like tone wood and the best bass for metal.

1. Why do you need a power supply for glasses? I have always had passive glasses, so maybe I'm missing something?

2. How often do you need to tune your glasses? Again, having passive glasses, no tuning is possible; I just have to get new ones.

I've never been a fan of being the first for anything new, and less so when potentially rushed. My doc, who just retired, has never keen on of any new vaccines. I don't want the virus, but I'm equally concerned about a new vaccine. I'm not opposed to them, but at this point we don't know long-term effects of anything so new. May be worse than the virus for most people. Make make your children be born naked. Everyone I know who's had the virus said it wasn't fun, but not worse than a bad flu. One exception being a seriously overweight lady with breathing issues.

Just add tort, then you don't need a case
Is it new? If so, send it back.
Unless you like it, then keep it & just mod it. Add Nordstroms, that'll fix it!

Why doesn't this poll have an option for carrots?

Mark’s recovery sounds rougher than s flu. And I knew someone who died from it.

My whole family had it at the end of March. We all tested positive. Both of my children 14 & 18 had a mild reaction, sick for a few days like a mild flu.

I had flu like symptoms (fever, chills etc.) for about a week and then lost my sense of smell and taste for the next two months. As a point of reference, I am 53, take no meds, have no medical conditions and am healthy and not over weight etc.

My wife, same age same basic health profile, had very bad flu like symptoms and after a week had started to have trouble breathing. Dr. told me to take her to ER.
Turns out what she had developed pneumonia and we were given medications for that. Took a couple of weeks to get things settled and she developed vertigo in that time frame. Not sure if its related but the message I learned if that different people get it at different levels of intensity. Stay safe!

I'm glad everyone came through OK.

1. We know that the older you are, the worse the symptoms; likewise for health conditions, especially obesity and circulatory diseases.
2. Amongst those that get it, severity is also linked to viral dose. A bigger exposure to the virus correlates to more severe symptoms.
3. With any respiratory disease, super infection (an infection on top of what is already going on) is always a risk.

So, your experience is a microcosm of infections.

Immunity is interesting as well. There appears to be some who are immune without known prior exposure. So, either we have had the virus around much longer than reported, or there is cross-immunity with other corona viruses (maybe both - there is evidence supporting both ideas).

I too hope everyone is staying safe.


Given the choice I would rather have the Boogie Woogie Flu over the Rockin' Pneumonia.

I thought I found a great deal for someone on a Vintage Pro, but if so, it's been modified to look like a cheaper bass. I emailed the store. We'll see. Seems like this GC has done something squirrelly before. Maybe it was the same bass, months ago, which would explain why it's still there.

That is not a VP. It is a Limited Edition Custom Shop IV. They have no clue.

I don't think that's is or ever was a VP. The pups are wrong, the trim rings are wrong, the bridge is wrong and I'd bet if they showed a headstock pic it would be wrong as well.

The CS Limited Editions are very nice bolt-on IVs. That one is like my Silverburst, same PUPs, tuners, etc. I’m always on the lookout to add that color, along with a TV Silver one, a red one and an ebony one to my flock. But not that one for that price in that apparent condition.

I saw them in '73! Martin Turner is one of my favorites! This song on Live Dates is the sound that cemented my decision that I needed a Thunderbird. Imho this is one of the best sounding recordings of a Thunderbird cutting not clanky, zip and zing, mild distortion. It cuts through but there is still low end but not muddy at all. Pretty sure Matrin is playing through Acoustic 360s with Rotosound RS66 and of course a pick Listento the end his best bits are in the outro.

Hard to tell from the pics. But to compare, I’ll disclose that my virtually mint Pelham Blue one was $470 (Reverb) including an older style Epiphone Tbird case in very good condition and shipping.

GC shipping to store is reasonable and the way to go if it turns out to be a turkey. It might be worth checking into if they put it around $300. Like I say, they’re very nice basses. I’m going to pass....no new birds for me until the amp situation is squared away.

Yep. An amazing album. Overend’s (former) Tbird and Martin’s playing is otherworldly. And I love that song too. My original copy of Wishbone Ash Four was so worn out I had to replace it when I got to college.
