One of my favorites! I saw them in '73 at the Hard Rock Quarry outside of Akron NY. My ticket stub is the one on the right the left is a ebay find!

Hard to tell from the pics. But to compare, I’ll disclose that my virtually mint Pelham Blue one was $470 (Reverb) including an older style Epiphone Tbird case in very good condition and shipping.

GC shipping to store is reasonable and the way to go if it turns out to be a turkey. It might be worth checking into if they put it around $300. Like I say, they’re very nice basses. I’m going to pass....no new birds for me until the amp situation is squared away.
Yeah, I saw your blue one. Got excited until I realized it was sold. Then recalled you had bought it. I’m not looking for one, just enabling when I see things. But had the blue been for sale today at that price I’d have been tempted.

Trying really hard not to buy anything of more than minor consequence until the house is paid off. That red Ampeg 200w 210 isn’t helping.

The Satsop I know.........Dystopian, Orwellian towers rising out of an otherwise pastoral landscape - totally 1984! Keep Washington strange!

My whole family had it at the end of March. We all tested positive. Both of my children 14 & 18 had a mild reaction, sick for a few days like a mild flu.

I had flu like symptoms (fever, chills etc.) for about a week and then lost my sense of smell and taste for the next two months. As a point of reference, I am 53, take no meds, have no medical conditions and am healthy and not over weight etc.

My wife, same age same basic health profile, had very bad flu like symptoms and after a week had started to have trouble breathing. Dr. told me to take her to ER.
Turns out what she had developed pneumonia and we were given medications for that. Took a couple of weeks to get things settled and she developed vertigo in that time frame. Not sure if its related but the message I learned if that different people get it at different levels of intensity. Stay safe!

Thunderbird in action pic so as to stay on topic....

Glad all is well now. Hopefully with no lasting effects.

I was following the PB bird and pounced as soon as the price dropped. It is special. And no need to swap the 3-point on it either.

Do those crazy Non reverse two string custom basses that Stig Pedersen of D-A-D plays count as thunderbirds?

I think you'll find our Queen exceptionally inclusive.
Those basses are no more and no less Thunderbirds than my Spector Rex5 Pro, which was welcomed here with open arms.
Tell Stig to post a pic and ask for a number. ;)

I can't say much right now but save your pennies for early '21. Some of the rumors are true. That is all I can say.
I've been locked and loaded for quite some time now, but my trigger finger is getting pretty itchy. If the first wave doesn't have a VP type NR I'll most likely pivot in a completely different non TBird direction. Is it fair to assume any unveiling would be in the first half of the new year?

I don't think he's part of Talkbass.

But here's a musicvideo of D-A-D where he plays his two string birds.
