I really wish someone still made these.
I agree - it is a bit heavy, but it will definitely protect the bass.

To each other their own. I never got the point. If you’re only going a mile or two, walking is much healthier. I suppose they can be helpful for some disabled, but I’ve never seen them used for that purpose. A personal transporter like a bike, motorcycle makes since for long distances. Those things are silly.Invalid Link Removed
I didn't know they are no linger made. I see nerdy troops of them in Golden Gate Park all the time. As the article notes, they were mocked for being hyped for their launch in '99. I remember that hype as it was part of the era then called the "dot com boom". I was about to move out of the the Bay Area because rent prices skyrocketed in anticipation of the 'glorious new world of tech' - then it all collapsed and rents settled back down because Jimmy and Susie Tech moved back to the mid-west to live with mommy and daddy.
It's just a high tech toy that people of all ages can play with if they have the cash. Walking, or using a bike, scooter or motorcycle make much more sense. Think of it as a safe scateboard for people that have money to burn.To each other their own. I never got the point. If you’re ably going a mile or two, walking is much healthier. And yet here we are again...I was about to move out of the the Bay Area because rent prices skyrocketed in anticipation of the 'glorious new world of tech' - then it all collapsed and rents settled back down because Jimmy and Susie Tech moved back to the mid-west to live with mommy and daddy.
And yet here we are again...
Except Jimmy and Susie got replaced by Zhang and Fang, and they've got enough Chairman Mao's in the bank to ride out the current crisis without breaking a sweat.

You can hardly ever go wrong owning a home in close proximity to a decent university.unfortunately in Santa Cruz, rents never settled back down....UC campus didn’t help...
interesting dynamics in this state...150 years ago Tengiao and Yanghun were here building the railroads.... nothing’s new under the sun...And yet here we are again...

Welcome back! The Epiphone Vintage Pro is maybe what you should look into as your next one. Good place to begin getting back into Thunderbirds! But the entry level bolt-on IVs or an Epi Goth are well respected here as well. Hope you find something soon.Hello!
It's been a while! I'm number 103 Doelle but I cannot for the life of me remember that login anymore.
I just got back into playing after a 6 year hiatus. Unfortunately there wasn't a TB within my budget in my area so I went with another manufacturer for my "second first".
I hope I can keep my number as I hope to get into real basses again soon
I look forward the conversations about this great variation of the best instrument.

But a Segway with one of these would be interesting...To each other their own. I never got the point. If you’re only going a mile or two, walking is much healthier. There's an exception here. I would not want to live close to University of Louisville. Too close to downtown for me. Some love it, but I don't like being that close to my neighbors among other things. You can hardly ever go wrong owning a home in close proximity to a decent university.
Glad you are back at it--like many of us. I second MCF on keeping your eye out for a Epi Vintage Pro.Hello!
