I wish there was a case like the one for my Les Paul 5er that would fit the 67NR. Oh, well, I have my Coffin Case(tm).

Your LP HSC is the same (look/construction) as the one I described. I've seen the T-bird version for sale for many hundreds of dollars also. I made a sorta' coffin style HSC for my Custom Kraft hollow-body which is as long as my '64 bird. Finding an original '68 HSC for it was slim at best. I keep this in mind when I create a new bass - making sure it will fit in a commonly available HSC.

How about a Flying V clothes pin raindeer?..I made a bunch of these out of refrigerator magnets View attachment 4077461

that’s super cool!

In the late '90s I bought one of the brown exterior/fuchsia interior w/funeral sheet/cover new for $50 from Guitar Center SF. (!) Even then I thought the salesperson didn't know what he was selling. I gladly paid him - it is a far better, more protective HSC for my beloved T-bird.
Disappointed that I never got a funeral sheet in my Gibson case.

Is there a thread for repairing old cases? I have 2 will broken hinges and/or locks.

Occy straps to the rescue!

Does it fit in the ‘13 case?
unfortunately no which kinda sucks cause the only other place it fits in is the BaCHbird bag. won’t carry it in that (I do use it for the 13, but the headstock was never damaged in that) but maybe I should, just don’t trust the original which seems like an afterthought....

is that the case mentioned in your earlier post? starting to like those.... the Greco came with a nice Gator case that of course won’t work for the NRs since the Greco has a 1/2” shorter scale...rectangular cases that don’t allow the neck to rest diagonally at the bottom annoy me but at least this one has (unlike the 68) good neck support...

This one - it was the HSC that the '95 hybrid '60s-'70s IV (The original brown tolex Gibson USA hardshell case is included) I posted came in. Maybe it originated there.

All this while I assume demand is dropping, seems crazy.

I'm not sure if demand is really dropping all that much. For example, I have been receiving a consistent paycheck since this all began, but I have only been buying about 1 tank of gas per month, can't spend any money on entertainment or dining out, and can't use our 2020 travel budget. That adds up to a lot of cash with nowhere to go, and I don't think I'm alone in this. (apologies and empathy to anyone who is experiencing pandemic-related financial hardship)

A terrible burden - you should let us all help you with that! :roflmao:

I think there’s something to this. Instruments following/watching numbers seem pretty high and it is also holiday time. I wonder if in six to nine months when things have hopefully returned to a more “normal” with folks doing other things we’ll see a decline in interest and lower prices.

I didn't know they are no linger made. I see nerdy troops of them in Golden Gate Park all the time. As the article notes, they were mocked for being hyped for their launch in '99. I remember that hype as it was part of the era then called the "dot com boom". I was about to move out of the the Bay Area because rent prices skyrocketed in anticipation of the 'glorious new world of tech' - then it all collapsed and rents settled back down because Jimmy and Susie Tech moved back to the mid-west to live with mommy and daddy.
