First:Got to play today at church. In practing last night with the burst VP with Cobalts and got tired of my fingers hurting and put some more finger friendly strings on for Sunday. The Rotos 66 sounded great today and my fingers thanked me.Rotos may have earned a spot on one of the VPs.
If it is cobalt allergy, it may get worse over time. It may not be worth tempting fate. Would Roto 77s or Chromes be an acceptable substitute?
Second:
I'm loving Roto 66s on the thunderbird tuned DGCF. They have a great aggressive sound. My only complaint about them is that they are a bit floppy (not unworkable, just prefer less floppy). I may try DDTs.
