I get an error message, thread could not be found. If you’re interested, I posted a NBD for the 4003 copy I got yesterday:

Yes indeed! Another great option I forgot about. Not as hard on the wallet as CA either. You could move here!
I know what you mean. I played my cheap used burst today with Rotobass strings (NP) and it sure did sound fantastic. I can't imaging selling it or the used (demo?) white VP. Without question the best sounding basses I've ever bought for that kind of money--and a lot more.I’m glad someone did! Altho he got seller’s remorse and immediately bought another one (also used).
Where’s the video with you both playing?Oh man look who showed up...

I played through a folded horn a few times and loved it every time. Did someone make an 18" FH or am I confusing it with just an 18 I ran across decades ago?View attachment 4167056
Folded horns were incredible. My rig in the early to late 80s included an 8-10 and a 4-12 folded horn that would have sound guys screaming about shaking walls in every venue it graced.
These Risson cabinets powered by a biamped GK800RB were incredible. The 8-10 had 6 CTS and 2 Altec speakers (isolated pairs like Ampeg). All alone, it sounded monstrous, but articulate as well. Then that 4-12 brought so much low end that it really did overpower dual Marshall stacks if I turned it up too much. I was young and inexperienced, so I was surprised that the 8-10 was so loud with only a 100 watt feed (while the 4-12 got 300 watts), so I felt like I needed to make sure it was always turned up really high so it could be heard.![]()
Yeah there is apparently a talkbass rule that says you can’t praise a counterfeit bass. I can only guess John Hall has threatened TB with litigation because this particular bass is a copy of a 4003.I get an error message, thread could not be found.
Man that bass looks so great that color!Happy T-bird Sunday Rog! Back at ya.

What about Greco Tbirds?
I was just trying to get some help/advice on an old bass I bought. Looks like I’ll be going elsewhere.
the most famous is the Acoustic 360/70 series which I believe was a Cerwin Vega driver..I played through a folded horn a few times and loved it every time. Did someone make an 18" FH or am I confusing it with just an 18 I ran across decades ago?
Cool. But most FHs weren't 18 were they? It's been decades since I even seen one in person.the most famous is the Acoustic 360/70 series which I believe was a Cerwin Vega driver..
