I’m glad someone did! Altho he got seller’s remorse and immediately bought another one (also used).
I know what you mean. I played my cheap used burst today with Rotobass strings (NP) and it sure did sound fantastic. I can't imaging selling it or the used (demo?) white VP. Without question the best sounding basses I've ever bought for that kind of money--and a lot more.

Folded horns were incredible. My rig in the early to late 80s included an 8-10 and a 4-12 folded horn that would have sound guys screaming about shaking walls in every venue it graced.

These Risson cabinets powered by a biamped GK800RB were incredible. The 8-10 had 6 CTS and 2 Altec speakers (isolated pairs like Ampeg). All alone, it sounded monstrous, but articulate as well. Then that 4-12 brought so much low end that it really did overpower dual Marshall stacks if I turned it up too much. I was young and inexperienced, so I was surprised that the 8-10 was so loud with only a 100 watt feed (while the 4-12 got 300 watts), so I felt like I needed to make sure it was always turned up really high so it could be heard. :D
I played through a folded horn a few times and loved it every time. Did someone make an 18" FH or am I confusing it with just an 18 I ran across decades ago?

I get an error message, thread could not be found.
Yeah there is apparently a talkbass rule that says you can’t praise a counterfeit bass. I can only guess John Hall has threatened TB with litigation because this particular bass is a copy of a 4003.
What about Greco Tbirds?
I was just trying to get some help/advice on an old bass I bought. Looks like I’ll be going elsewhere.

The way I understand it is that any "faker" being represented as the genuine brand it's copying (even if it's a decal or truss rod cover) is what triggers the censorship. A post with a Greco that sports a Gibson TRC, being praised, sold as a Gibson, or otherwise being represented as one, would be removed. A Greco Thunderbird being listed, shown, or described as a Greco would be fine.

FTR: I'm not a moderator here, so my word should not be taken with the same weight theirs would be the subject.
