I have a thing about matching straps to basses. Are bass players sorta like goalies, catchers and drummers ?

Lately I've been into this also. The woven ones are fairly cheap and so I've been matching a few with my basses.

Finally managed to find time to get my new pickguard mounted properly

Ended up not using any of the existing screw-holes, made all new ones :meh: ...

...to position it where I wanted

I'm starting to really like the white with red accents :wideyed:

Maybe I'll leave it, & have the VP painted red instead.....

Of course! :smug:
....but also, a lot of things I own are red...
Sounds like you just need one of these to complete the picture...

I don't need it to match the bass, but I want it to at least accentuate the bass.

My straps don't have to color match my bass, but they do have to color coordinate with the bass and fit the general theme of the bass. Kinda like this...

An ACC 361 Power Plus cabinet is an 18" folded horn. So is a 301 cabinet.
Interesting. I don't think I ever played through an Acoustic FH (had a combo early on). As I recall the one's I played through were black. Cerwin Vega comes to mind, but maybe because they were a good number of them around.

What do you think of the Les Paul(compare and contrast-lol)?
Quite different from the Birds, the body is chambered for weight - Its a little woody and snarly at the same time and high output, I have to use the -10db on the front end of the amp or it's ridiculously loud, like the Lull, Greco and Jackson.

Thanks. My LPB2/5 came with Bart's. IDK how to describe the sound, but it's loud. I usually run the volume @ 5.

Maybe I've been looking at this a little narrow-sighted, I like the guys' accentuating/coordination ideas. Might help me find the right strap for that white Jazz, other than the burgundy one I've seen selling for 198$ CAD on Amazon. It's a strap for goodness sakes, it don't make cappucinos... The Yammy's strap is also work in progress, but that bass might be traded for something else later this spring. Or not. Other "thing": I like my straps to differ from bass to bass... o_O

Those sunny straps are a bit of a thing for me and my daughter. I gave her one when I bought her a little Fender parlor acoustic and I still have a few others for acoustic guitars, when I need to use a strap. The best one is dedicated to the Epi ES-335.

Perhaps coincidentally, I got a new strap in (meaning: went to pickup from package drop  ) Saturday, the first I've bought in probably at least a year. For my duplicate bolt-on 'bird:

I'm thinking just re-install the factory p/g & other things on the VP.

Maybe white strings instead of red.....

Collection magnifique! Love those old Yamahas.....saw The Smiths in the early 80’s with Rourke playing one of those and I was so taken with his tone....didn’t want the show to end....

Merci
Chucky. I dig that PJ config and the way they come out either in active or passive modes. The only reason I might trade it is because of the neck, it's a bit big for a guy used to play Birds, Rays and Jazzes.
