Thunderbird Club

The way I understand it is that any "faker" being represented as the genuine brand it's copying (even if it's a decal or truss rod cover) is what triggers the censorship. A post with a Greco that sports a Gibson TRC, being praised, sold as a Gibson, or otherwise being represented as one, would be removed. A Greco Thunderbird being listed, shown, or described as a Greco would be fine.

FTR: I'm not a moderator here, so my word should not be taken with the same weight theirs would be the subject.
Don’t think I was misrepresenting anything, but it did have a Rick TRC when I brought it home. And took a pictures to post on TB, cause I’m a bass nerd.
I can live with the rule as you stated it. Don’t see it on the rules page though.

What happens if I put a Thunderbird pickup in it?

V-day fun! Drove down the coast to attend CS's Sunday afternoon gig at the Davenport Saloon - weather was overcast but not bad otherwise.

Really liked the NR (w/flats) - neck had a very similar feel to my '64 II. The Greco neck is pretty different. Both sounded great! (cause Chucky was rocking them!) :bassist:

Cool. But most FHs weren't 18 were they? It's been decades since I even seen one in person.

The 360/70 cab had an 18" driver. I think the reason Jaco P really liked a twin 360 set-up was that his sound physically 'touched' the audience. Those amps sent out a physical wave of low frequencies that thumped against your chest. He was a very in-your-face personality and his physical sound was an extension of his being. I was lucky enough to see him in '76 on his 1st tour with Weather Report. That band was off the charts live in general - I saw them the year before with Alphonso Johnson (a young fresh badass bass player!) Both times Zawinul was the main attraction but seeing/hearing them all in their prime was amazing.

It'll sound better.;)

And how’s your tinnitus? Probably as bad as mine. The ignorance of youth.

I don't know any musicians who don't have tinnitus. I personally trace mine standing next to the drummer. (cymbals) But where else is a bass player gunna' stand? :bassist:

Lucky bastard, getting to play gigs! I'm keeping myself busy recording tracks for a few different people, but I'd give my left foot to get back to gigging.

amen... but how about my left sock? Don't think I'd sacrifice my foot... ;)

Lemme think this through. I played either sax, keys, or bass in some stupidly loud bands from 69 to 84; then I drove 18 wheelers for 23 years-still playing on weekends-sitting next to/behind a big ole diesel. Yep, I've got tinnitus.
