Absolutely. File that one under: Do what you gotta do.AFA shorts, I don't like wearing them on stage either-and in fact I don't any more even if the other guys do*, but when it's 90F with 95% humidity and an outside gig, ya wear shorts.

Hey Chucky..
I got this one in trade with the intention of refinishing in Dakota Red.
It was so new that the truss rod had never been adjusted.
It’s still a VP..just has a new set of clothes. Cheers!
Be still my heart....Getting closer..

I sanded it down to the factory primer to give it enough roughage for the Nitro to stick to. Usually its not an issue to put nitro over Poly. If I had the time to do it again I probably would use a heat gun and strip it to the wood and use nitro primer. The paint came from ReRanch. The clearcoat is McFaddens..Neck through Basses are always a little bit more of a PITA..With a bolt on you can separate the parts.Did you do much surface prep to factory white? What type of paint did you use?

Great to hear. Which shot?Got my second shot yesterday, absolutely no side effects today. Band practice resumes in April. My ThunderP should be complete by then.View attachment 4210565
Long day..all done.I’ll wait until the new strings settle in before I do a truss rod adjustment ..It still screams like a Vintage Pro should..Cheers!

We have helped several Burmese families move and settle in the US. It's funny how they name some of their kids. May-June, Monday Tu, Louisville (little girl), I know I've forgetting a few.... Talk about happy to be here. When one younger woman finally received her citizenship she was so excited and grateful. Threw a big party for family and friends and gave each money as a gift! All are thankful for the help and being here, since they know what a crappy place to live actually looks like.I was over-ruled when I suggested naming my daughter April. With middle name Mae-June...
