Thunderbird Club

Nice.

I'm sure it'll sell, but wonder what the final bid will be. Seems like just a couple of years ago you could pick those up for about $1200 give or take a hundred. Lately most of the ones I've seen listed are asking closer to $2000 (not sure what price they're selling at though).

With the brand new NR coming out in a few months at around $1800 I kinda wonder if the market is going to soften a bit on the 2013 model.

The fact it's sunburst-and new ones aren't-might help it.

Off the top of my head I can think of at least seven bird brains out here in the Golden State - at least three of us in the LA area, one in the Paso area, one in Santa Cruz, one in Pacifica and one in Sacramento.

What a trip of a lifetime it would be to fly out to SoCal and spend a day or two playing some club member birds, maybe even visit the Fender site to see the Lego approach to building a bass. Then drive a bit up the coast to Paso for a visit with our club member there and taste some fine wines at Tobin James and Sculptera. From there take a scenic drive up highway one to see our buddy in Santa Cruz, maybe do a little surfing or crabbing between gigs with Chuck before driving up to the SF Bay Area to check out some original cool creations by our resident west coast Luthier JIO and try a bird or two before a night on the town in San Francisco. In the morning head on over to the Sacramento area to check out Kara's home for stray TBirds in need of mending and check out some great Napa wines. Then first thing in the morning head on back to SFO for the flight home and maybe stop at the Alembic headquarters on the way to check out the amazing build process they use for their instruments. So much fun, so little time.
And visit Miles and Eddie on the way out and back! Since you put it that way, my bucket list now is full--and this is all that's in it. May even half of it happen one day!

No, no. New Yorkers took it over from the Spanish. Who moved out when "those people" started showing up. Likely because they couldn't understand a thing they said.:D
Dunno...every time I head down to Florduh to see family (who are all from Massachusetts, yet my side of the family never ventured out of Chicago), we're surrounded by Canadians. It's lovely, actually. The world needs more Canadas...

Not so much this year with travel restrictions. We lost at least 3 gigs at mobile home parks that are mostly used as Canadian wintering refuges.

till you’re a waiter and they come to your restaurant....

One bad thing 'bout being in SE FL. We're not 'on the way' to anywhere('cept South FL).

The humidity isn't a bad thing? Or the lack of mountains?

AC and who needs mountains. ;)

If you don't have as part of your day, you may not quite get it, but I often get to see the Sun rise above the Cascade mountains in the east and watch it set beyond the Olympics to the west. This time of year they're both covered in snow, very beautiful - the weather's been really nice here over the past week so it's been quite noticeable.

You could also swing thru my desert and try out a few Bird variations on the way home.
