Interesting! Just looked at the set of Super Brights I bought yesterday and they are the Marcus Miller Stainless ones. I'll try em on one of my darker sounding basses

Those are the ones I have.

are the extenders "one size fits all"?

Well they come in different styles to accommodate different basses, but yes they all do the same thing: detune a string a half step, a whole step, or a step and a half (minor 3rd), depending on how you calibrate it. It's a pita to calibrate, but once you get it dialed in it's pretty darn reliable.

It's funny how tuning it works. It's a royal pain to do until it isn't. Don't ask me what that means, because I can't tell you exactly, but if you have had one for a while, you know what I mean.

Yup.
Had one model that didn't work well, out of the dozen I purchased over the years, including the pair of GB7s ordered on April 1 (yeah, I know) for my Bird and Explorer.... It happens. What ? poopie happens.

That's the set I installed on the Pelham Blue Epi. Ready woke up the pickups.

I wish I could put em on my Andrew Drake bass, which is probably my darkest sounding bass. But it's a 35" scale, so I run 50-110 on that bass, usually Stainless Lo-Riders

You might check and see. They may be long enough.
