I've liked Neil since the first song of his I heard. A lot of people felt he ruined CS&N, but I thought he added a very cool dimension.

This song is turning out to be my LS favorite. Covered it in my acoustic guitar duo with a ladyfriend singer a few weeks ago and got to appreciate this song much better. Feels like a religious experience, at some point.

That's a pretty good LS tribute band. (Yeah, I know.) Some nice bass and guitar work in there! "Simple Man" has always been a fave. A lady friend of mine has been doing it (ahem) on acoustic for a while now, and I love it.

The worship team all chipped in to buy the worship pastor's husband his dream guitar- a White Falcon. He's ridiculously cool about letting others play it. It's pretty fantastic. He got it on his birthday right after they got back from a trip. He was speechless, a rare occasion.

When I tried Roto 77s on mine, the 105 used all the travel in the saddle, and needed more - the DR 105 on there now has a bit of room to spare :thumbsdown:

I thought for a minute (maybe more :cautious: ) about trying a B-string on it, but both the 130 from a Roto set and 125 from a DR set were too big for the "claw" :(

Funny how we get more esoteric to sound like old equipment like Peavey and ACC solid state. There is a place for hi-fi. That is making the upright louder. There is a place for tubes as well. But for me, really good basic old solid state ACC or Peavey do what I want. There are amps I don't like - my ACC 126 is OK sounding at best and I didn't like the 370 head I had. But a 360 stack or 320/408 stack is sublime. A good Peavey head through the right cabinet is right there.

The FIRST thing I did with mine was replace those "Anemic" PU's:vomit:
For one thing they are 4 banger PU's trying to cover a 5, apparently an old "Gibby Trick" :roflmao: (they might not sound bad on 4 banger like they were intended!!) Then I removed the pre and replaced it with a standard passive Gibby harness & pots, never looked back and have been VERY happy with the results!! Going into this I knew I would have to change some things but the neck through maple and walnut lams are worth the price of admission!!
I HIGHLY recommend you try something similar, as I said, the Pro V is worthy of the effort:hyper:
May I recommend SD's for the PU'S
Oh and BTW I think they used some kind of metal nut if I remember correctly
(and that's a BIG IF:smug:)
SO I replaced that with a Graph Tek nut...Go For It:bassist:
