Prior to getting the ring on the bridge PU.

We have a place pretty close (St Charles IL) has a cool concert hall called The Arcada theater (www.arcadalive.com). Wife was looking at who's coming and TOMORROW (of course, I can't go) is Suzie Quatro!
Ah man…that sucks. I would love to see her. It’s only been like 45 years since I saw her. I can’t believe how time flies.

So by my rough estimation, the vote is a tossup. In that case, you need to get another VP, have it refinished in PB and use both Pickguards. You’re welcome.
Close. He needs to get a new NR and have it refinished in PB.:smug:
EDIT: I know they(will)come in PB, but ya want it to match the others.

finally got around to installing an aftermarket PAS power supply upgrade board on this Dyna 70….it ditches the tube rectifier and adds bulk decoupling C….it also rectifies the filament currents….. got fortunate in finding a matched quartet of the ever elusive bohemian 6CA7S’…can’t wait to hook this up to a pair of Klipsch horns…:hyper:

Neck dive. They didn't say a word about neck dive. Now everybody will want one.... Exploding headstock was cleverly not mentioned either. Once some of that happens people will avoid them until those basses find appropriate owners, i.e., people here.;)
2012s have no neck dive and the huge volute behind the nut ensures the neck will break elsewhere before it does there…

Translation for the technology impaired...
finally got around to installing an aftermarket Pretty And Sweet power supply upgrade board on this Amp....it ditches the glass thingy with wires in it and adds a big plug see....it also automatically corrects the voltage inside the glass things....got lucky in finding four of those matching glass thingys from Bohemia...can't wait to hook this up to a pair of German Trumpets.

You guys kill me sometimes …in a nutshell, these mods make an old design sound newer, (more headroom, much quieter)…. the tubes help with the frequency response since they were originally meant for radio transmitter operation and the Klipsch horns are the type used in the old RCA designed movie theaters where their ultra high efficiency allowed for much lower power (but very high linearity) amps to be used….at the end of the day, the aim is to have a “wire with gain” with no added coloration to keep distortion to a minimum…iow I want to hear a hi fidelity reproduction of what went into the microphone in the first place….make sense?

LOL - in other words...
It's a HiFi mod that cleans up the sound and has less distortion at a given volume for a more realistic sound.
