Thunderbird Club

Assembling a set of individual link metal tracks for some 1/35 scale WWII German armor.
I recycle my old high E guitar strings to use as the hinge pins. Tedious, but worth it for the end results.View attachment 4310483

I would think that very hard to cut/bend, I usually use small phosphor bronze wire in various diameters from Tichy, it's strong but easily worked. It's funny what drives my modeling projects, sometimes a single photo will be the force behind an entire model.

You have A/C anyway. It's going to have record highs here, and nobody has A/C. There's a few days every year that it would be nice to have, but most of the time, we just don't need it. This summer may be different. It's supposed to be Junuary this month, not the end of August.

The Queen has A/C........
This delicate flower wilts easily!

Something's really strange about that one. The bridge pickup seems too close to the bridge. Every other one I've seen has it sitting in that pickguard cutout.
Legit or not, doesn’t look like it gets played much these days considering the intonation hasn’t been set and all the tuning keys are all turned to the same position. Has had a headstock repair most likely a long time ago and has been refinished, not sure PB was the original color judging from the chips on the headstock.

We don't. Another reason to get down there to visit!

Saturday is supposed to reach 91 degrees come on down and enjoy some Thunderbirds and the bar is open! Our specialties are Negroni, Rye Manhattan and Guggenheim.

Stunt liver!

I'll actually be in Texas on Saturday. Speaking of overheated places.

A lot of our staff will be in Dallas for the Lighting Manufacturers show this week as well, I dodged the trip and humidity!

I just got back from a vacation in Grand Junction, Gateway and Glenwood Springs.
It was 105 degrees for 4 days in a row.
Thank God the only activities we had planned was hanging at the pool each day!

Hey all,

I just wanted to let the club know I'm selling my VP Pro, but it looks like you guys already figured that out back a page or two...;)

I'm motivated to sell and am willing to wheel and deal with club members here to send it off to a good home so if anyone here is interested please feel free to hit me up via PM with offers.

I saw the comments on the weight and honestly with the strap button adjustments and my wide strap I don't notice it all in comparison to my other two 9.5# basses, but I know that is all subjective.

Dodging Texas is always a smart move.

Well, I've only visited once for business, that aspect of it was really something and I did meet a lot of nice people, that heat + humidity though! I'd imagine one would get used to it, but it's probably best for me to stay in Washington and just visit occasionally

The boy and the girl left Dallas last week and went to Las Vegas where her parents live. They went through Arizona and visited the petrified forest. I suspect they didn't spend a whole lot of time outside, and I doubt they are spending time outside in Las Vegas, either.

If a black one didn't choose me about two days ago, I would be interested. Funny how that happens. It will pick somebody for sure.

LOL - that 115 degree hot pool at Glenwood Springs would be a killer, but the big pool sure would be refreshing.

Fly into DFW and never leave the airport? There are a couple of very large hotels with convention space at the airport; many go there but never see anything but the airport. Disappointing to say the least.
