Thunderbird Club

Depends on his bra size.
The robe as well. I used to work maintenance at Kresge's (forerunner of Kmart), we would have ladies come in from the Middle East with their flowing robes on and when they would leave they would be extremely pregnant..... Not all, obviously, but a disproportionate number.

A little super glue and duct tape, all woulda been OK. Oh. And some furniture scuff remover.
Did it have that "angry piano "sound?

Three hits, three sounds.
  1. Glorious piano
  2. Furious piano
  3. Dying piano
So for a brief moment, the piano became a THUNDERBIRD, displaying the Mother Of All Headstock Snap Offs.

I never cease to be amused when drivers screw up carrying something large, fragile, or both; drive the same way they always do, then lose or damage their 'cargo'. For example(s):running freeway speeds with a mattress/boxspring tied on the roof with twine. If you're running 70mph, that's just under hurricane force wind. And yet they can't believe their new bed is on the side of the road.:rollno: Making sharp, too fast turns with something top heavy in the back then being shocked when it falls over-even inside the vehicle. Driving an econo-box then trying to cram a 60" flat screen into it.
PAY THE DELIVERY CHARGE!
These are the ones that amuse me...

But even those who should know better are driving with improperly secured loads...

Hope I don’t bore anyone with this story, but it’s a happy one.
Remember I said our tour van was broken into and my Fano JM4 was stolen? Our road managers backpack, mobile office with his iPad was also stolen and he keeps getting pings from it in Middletown, OH. This morning on our way to Put In Bay we met the police at the address it kept pinging from. They were no help and simply asked a sketchy looking dude who lives in a garage if he stole an iPad. The guy said no and the cops said that was that. Our road manager was furious. Not an hour later the road manager says, “Mark, your bass just got listed on Reverb in Middletown, OH!”
I messaged the seller and showed him pictures to assure him that was my bass. He immediately asked me to call him and said he would pull the listing. The seller was mortified. Said he bought the bass from someone he went to high school with and hadn’t seen since ‘04 or something and feared the price he paid was ‘too good to be true.’ We arranged to meet on my way home Monday, said he didn’t want any money or finders fee and that he would deal with the guy who sold him the bass. So looks like I got my Fano back!

That is great news!! Wonder if the guy living in the garage is the old high school friend.

Whoa!!!!

The Karma Accelerator!!!

Loved Camel when I was younger, haven’t heard it much in the last 30 years and don’t have any of their stuff on LP or CD or streaming, I’d forgotten all about them, thanks for posting the flashback.

Camel - Moon Madness; Yes - Fragile; everything by The Grateful Dead; and PF - Wish You Were Here / DSOTM were mainstays at every chemically inclined gathering I attended. To this day I still love all the trippy prog stuff even without the chemicals.

Hah! The Tippy Hedren "look" would make a great Halloween costume!

I am always disappointed when someone gets themselves into a situation in which they feel the need to taking things that do not belong to them to support themselves.
I am glad that you got your bass returned.
I am disappointed in the police that thy did the bare minimum (and that it was insufficient to result in any positive outcome).

But good story; rock on!
