Thunderbird Club

I had the chance to open for them once, in a small bar. they brought so much equipment on stage that I had to play directly in the crowd, there were no place for me on the stage. Lips also complained that he could not hear himself through the monitors (which were cranked on the verged of feedback) but would not turn his guitar down a bit. Two Marshall full stack, both running at full power, for a venue that held 250 person max... it was a bit of a SPINAL tap moment!
Lips is full on rock n roll!

Remember that crazy sixties solid I got a while ago?

Well I decided to trace the body and make a template so I can make a bass.

Yeah I know, the neck is crooked but I haven't even routed out the neck pocket yet, it'll be on straight. The neck itself by the way was a Hockey stick headstock number which I extensively modified.

That's the neck on the very top of the photo.

The pickup will be Fender P-bass single coil coming from a Sting Signature model and I'm planning to finish it in red burst like the guitar.

That's the one I use for mine

Iirc, the VP doesn't fit in the older, square, Epiphone cases?
I have an older square one, so maybe I'll check. I also have Gibson cases and can check those as well. But, you know about asking questions and using the search function. Actual knowledge created by direct experimentation is nowhere near as much fun as asking here.

The NHL would prolly not approve the curve.;)

Yep, it's really happening! Now to explain it to the wife.

See, at my house I'm the wife and I had to explain it to my hubby............ He couldn't say no as he already has 4 guitars of his own.
