Thunderbird Club

Joining in on the @Chucky Stiletti fan club. His older sound clips from the lost files era as well as his newer videos all showcase how tight he plays with the band, never walking over or hiding behind the other members and always displaying impeccable timing. Not sure if he’s classically trained or self taught, but he’s an awesome player - and as best I can tell, a damn good person as well. Take a bow Chuck, applause are coming your way.
Thanks George! Love this club, love it’s members and really find the subject that brings us together fascinating. A VERY special group of people hang out here and I consider it an honor to be able to partake with such a bright, talented, classy and funny group of folks…..THANK YOU ALL!

Classy? You give me too much credit!

Two years ago, me and my best friend went to paint the town red when I noticed that he wasn't wearing socks, so when I pointed it out, he began to sing George Michael's "I want your sex" but changing the lyric into "I want your socks"

It was too funny NOT to do anything with it, so after I got home I wrote full lyrics about footwear, recorded a track and here's the result.

A joke is the funniest when it's done the proper way and I put in a lot of work.

You are right in all respects. We need fan club T-shirts. Designed not by PillO! We know how that story would end with images of Chuck wearing watermelons covering all kinds of places....

I know this has been covered here but can anyone recommend a HSC that is at least 48" (48.5" would be better) long -> interior dimensions. Not for a T-bird so no interior mounding to a T-bird body. (open interior)

Update: Just found this Ibanez HSC (48.42"x 13.58" open interior) which is perfect - I can't imagine another that would work that would be any cheaper but if anyone knows of such I'm all ears. I found a Gator case for less but it has a 48" interior length and although my bass might fit, it also might be just that short.

I moved to CA in '90 from (hot/cold) Chicago so for the first couple of years living here I was able to cope with the moderate weather. Once acclimated I was just like everyone around me and I err on the side of being overdressed. Easier to unzip a jacket if warmer than expected than to be too cold and not have a jacket or sweater.
If you don't like the weather in San Francisco, walk a block. Can't recall where I heard that one, but there is some truth to it.

Awesome! Thanks for this PillO! My Silvertone Hornets (which I don't have cases for) are 49" so now I have a source for a HSC that they will fit! My Coral Deluxe Bass (also a Dano product) is similarly 49" but luckily it still has its OHSC. It might even fit my '64 T-bird (50.5"), but I have its OHSC and the later Gibson brown/fuchsia version so I'm covered there.

I have one of these for my Pro-V. It is a very roomy case. I haven't seen a VP in one, but as they are still selling, I think it is a good bet that they fit (and you could phone an L&M to ask).

Chuck’s a good egg (as we used to say). He has helped me with amp troubleshooting, once contacted a guy at Marshall to get an obscure schematic for me and sent me a spare Tbird logo sticker he had. And yeah, the guy can play!

Exactly. Flick that cobalt dust off. It's freeing.

Hey! Take it easy on Geddy. His Mom just died...
Didn't know that. Sorry to hear that. No matter how famous you might be, such a loss is just as painful to all. The great leveler and only place where equity has/will ever truly happen. It comes to us all and is no respecter of persons.
