Wouldn't that be more of a State thing? IDK how much water a plant can convert. I know the Yorktown and Enterprise converted enuff for the boilers. And for drinking, showering, food prep, etc.Funny you should say that - there was plans for such years ago but Pacifica couldn't afford to launch it. It's not an affluent community.
For a bunch of guys who get paid to skate, they sure bump into each other a lot.Definitely not a game for the faint of heart. Awesome game, from both teams.
I'm not a hockey person, but I did watch a little last night. Kept waiting for the hockey part to happen.... Seems like there was more of everything thing else going on. Maybe it's always that way.For a bunch of guys who get paid to skate, they sure bump into each other a lot.![]()
Not all of them get paid to skate. As I recall, John Kordic could barely skate. For a bunch of guys who get paid to skate, they sure bump into each other a lot.![]()
Lotta good(or sometimes questionable-rules wise)defense by both teams.I'm not a hockey person, but I did watch a little last night. Kept waiting for the hockey part to happen.... Seems like there was more of everything thing else going on. Maybe it's always that way.
Funny you say that. I was in the shed yesterday and played one of the Fenders. Thunderbirds, both reverse and NR are way more comfortable playing sitting down. And they sound better too, of course.Hmmm, (thinking out loud) … if I strap all my Fenders together I could build a raft and paddle my Tbirds to safety.

Well another myth busted!Funny you say that. I was in the shed yesterday and played one of the Fenders. Thunderbirds, both reverse and NR are way more comfortable playing sitting down. And they sound better too, of course.
Santa Barbarba can tell you how expensive it is. Uses a ton of carbon energy to supply about 25% of it's water. But there really isn't an alternative. They'll have to pour more money into it to make it more energy efficient.Funny you should say that - there was plans for such years ago but Pacifica couldn't afford to launch it. It's not an affluent community.
Yeah, it's a bit obscure unless you're a ferroequinologist.*
There are certain numbers that correspond to famous/favorite locomotives that when seen, conjure up that image/memory. Usually, but not limited to, restored, operational steam engines. 759 or 765: Nickle Plate Road 2-8-4's; 1218: Norfolk and Western 2-6-6-4; 4014: Union Pacific 4-8-8-4 Big Boy.
These are/were steam engines that have absolutely nothing to do with Thunderbirds, BTW.

Same thing we’re having at the GBass house. Frozen margaritas at cocktail hour, followed by chips and home made salsa as an appetizer, then the main course of grilled Santa Maria style Tri-tip with a side of refried beans covered in jalapeño cheese and a side of Mexican rice. Grilled peaches over French vanilla ice cream drizzled in amaretto for dessert and a warm tawny port or Kentucky bourbon on the rocks afterwards while we settle down for a movie.
Any suggestions on a good movie to watch on the 4th? I’m not big on musicals, so Yankee Doodle Dandy is out. The wife isn’t keen on sci-fi, so Independence Day is out. Just saw Blazing Saddles on TV last night. Maybe a WWII flick or a Epic like Gone With the Wind. Open to suggestions.
Like it! Great minds…..What no 4449?
Being a child of the Diesel Age steam doesn't hold the same fascination for me, and while I have seen a fair number of them operating IRL I much prefer diesels like this EMD GP30, which at this point in time is more rare than a steam engine.

Lest we digress, let's have a Non Reverse kind of morning........My Inverness Green one seems to be on the near horizon.

The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco
-- Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain)
Yep, used to really baffle me watching The Streets of San Francisco as a kid in SoFl and seeing the characters wearing wool jackets and sweaters….used to wonder why no one would sweat for if that was FlaYou can always spot tourists in SF because they are underdressed and shivering.

Not us... we had this cool invention called a weather app. We looked like tourists for other reasons.
